Hi and welcome to Picknik Place LLC! This is a 20 acre farm, so there is plenty of land to roam free and explore, as well as having your privacy from the primary residents. With this spot, you are nestled under a juniper tree with a lava rock backdrop and can watch the sun dip below the volcanos in the distance. This spot is very simple and tucked away. There is an off-grid solar power hook-up that you can use, but it will not be enough power to run the AC and toaster oven at the same time! While feeling remote and removed from the Bend tourism, it only takes 15 minutes to get downtown, where there are ample restaurants, shops, coffehouses, etc. It takes 7 minutes to get to Trader Joe's and Home Depot, and 10 minutes to get to St. Charles Hospital.

This campsite offers a serene and private escape not far from town, making it a great spot for both short stays and extended visits. Guests appreciate the ease of access and the natural beauty of the surroundings, including stunning views of lava rock formations and sunsets. The site provides ample space for families and pets, with thoughtful touches like solar panels and rock-lined picnic areas. Some guests note mild traffic noise due to its proximity to the highway, but overall, it remains a favored choice for a peaceful retreat.

Right off the highway, easy access, and accurate instructions. I'd recommend this to anyone passing through or staying around for a few days. We just needed a safe place to set up the trailer with the kids for one night as we passed through Bend, and this was perfect! The property is kind of dusty, which is normal for the area and not a bad thing, but it did make manouvering the trailer with our van a bit tricky. There is a gravel pad where we stayed on site 2 that was very nice and level for the trailer. The solar panels were a nice touch, but we didn't need to use them for our brief stay. The area is very quiet and private, and the kids loved to play on the swing and on the nearby rocks.

The site was easy to find, private, quiet, and clean. It was close to Bend, which was the reason for our trip.

Perfect Stopover
5 m car ·
I just needed a place to park my car and sleep on my way south from Washington, and this camp was perfect for that. The spots are far enough from the house to feel private, and they have picnic tables and firewood. There is a lot of road noise, but it lessened after dark, so it wasn't too bad. Also, I was greeted by a friendly dog upon arrival (Hi Mateo!) which is always nice!
