This wooded getaway offers privacy and a bit of room to stretch out with family, friends and pets. Located just off of HWY 38, only minutes to Reedsport and the 'Gateway to the Oregon Dunes'. This almost 7 acre parcel encompasses a beautiful valley of coastal wetlands where you will enjoy approximately 1 acre of leveled camping space with two 30 amp hookups and potable water on site. In addition, we provide 4 comfortable Adirondack chairs, a picnic table and a fire pit. You are also just minutes to the very convenient Town of Reedsport dumping station at the corner of HWYs 38 and 101. You will find anything you might need in town, from groceries to fishing and crabbing equipment. Truly one of the most beautiful areas of the Oregon coast, activities in the region abound. Crabbing and fishing are centralized in Winchester Bay, about 10 minutes away. You are also located very near the mouth of the mighty Umpqua River, one of the best salmon fisheries in the state. Easy access to the coastal dunes is available up and down HWY 101 both North and South. Winchester Bay offers the closest entrance to the dunes where you can ride atvs and 4x4s and permits can be purchased in town. Stunning options for hiking, biking and mushroom hunting surround you here on the central Oregon Coast. With rainforest on one side of HWY 101 and coastal dunes on the other, there are many opportunities to explore different types of forested areas and trails. Wildlife enthusiasts are just minutes away from the Dean Creek Elk Viewing wildlife recreational area on HWY 38. This large herd can be seen daily grazing in the meadows. This wooded getaway offers privacy and a bit of room to stretch out with family, friends and pets. It will accommodate a mid-size RV (33') or about a 24' tow behind. Campfires are allowed after fire season is over in the fall (around Nov 1), but banned in Douglas County by the Coos Forest Protective Association during fire season which begins sometime in early June. You must comply with these rules, no fires during the ban. For further info you may contact the CFPA Closure Information line at (541) 267-1789. Cell service onsite is tough, but we have an extender that works well for Verizon users.

I love being the only one at a site and it was just up the road from town but it is on a gravel road with about a dozen houses and near a transfer station. As noted by others you’ll hear cars very close on the road. $80/night seems very high given these factors. Might be the most I’ve paid for a site.

This was a great place to stay and very quiet. We will definitely be staying here again next time we go to the dunes.

We had a lovely 4th of July night at this Hipcamp. Very quiet and peaceful. As others mentioned there were a few cars on the gravel road but it was a private spot and beautiful in the morning sun. Would recommend!

Great spot, super private, easy to get to and lovely view. We loved listening to all the birds. We couldn’t have a fire do to time of year but the fire pit area was still a great place to park it and enjoy the view!

Such a great place… in the middle of nature. We had a great fire pit. There is an occasional car that goes past but we didn’t really notice.
