Hilltop RV Site with a View
The Hilltop Ranch is a nice spot with a great view. The owner has put up a nice fence between the house and rv pad and made sure we felt like we had our privacy.
If you are a newer trailer owner/driver, you might prefer arriving during daylight hours as the driveway is long, narrow (one lane), uphill (hence, the Hilltop Ranch) and winds through the woods. It's not too far from Corvallis and it's an easy drive. It took us about 20-25 minutes to get from Corvallis/OSU to the site.
We enjoyed seeing deer, turkeys and even quail on the property during our visit. We heard lots of helicopters in the distance, but never got to see them. The sunrise on our first morning was spectacular!

Hilltop RV Site with a View
Brittney had a wonderful site all ready for us. She came out and made sure we had everything we needed. The hookups were great. The view of the stars at night was phenomenal and such a great place to watch the valley in the morning.

Great view of Willamette Valley
We loved this location. The view of the Willamette Valley is phenomenal. Sunrise was elusive due to clouds when we were there.
There are cameras around the house, but none focused on the RV campsite.
There is no usable Verizon service at the RV site. AT&T works. The listing mentioned WiFi, but it wasn’t offered. There is no Verizon service between this location and downtown Corvallis.
For the “pull-thru” site you drive straight in, but a 3-point turn is required, with a larger rig, to leave. I enabled 4x4 to make this maneuver, due to our weight and the slope of the hill.
30 amp service, water, and sewer worked flawlessly. I set our Victron inverter at 28 amps, and that worked fine.
The concrete pad is nice but uneven, needing 2” risers for leveling. We used a blower to clear sheep poop left behind. The terraced pad requires blocks for RV stairs. The existing stair support is anchored and not usable for us due to our 2 RV doors placement. It also prevented backing out.
The owner's two friendly dogs, when released, run and bark at the RV site, but the free-range sheep herds them away. Our 15-year-old deaf English Shepherd faced off with the sheep. The sheep was staring down our dog, stomping its front foot, trying to intimidate her. Our dog is staring back, and we can see the wheels spinning in her head: “What the heck is wrong with that sheep?” I had to herd the sheep off as we didn't want our dog to hurt herself trying to show the sheep who is in charge of herding.

Truly a special spot. This was our first Hipcamp and it will certainly be one to remember. Very quiet with a beautiful view. Additionally, Brittney was a wonderful host and we will definitely be back.
