We are offering up a few areas on our property for clean, friendly, quiet campers that want to get out of the city and enjoy some peace and quiet. We are located in Banks, Oregon. We are approximately 45 minutes west of downtown Portland. Our camping area is about 5 acres and offers something for everyone. If you have a large RV and need a safe and quiet spot to stay for the night, we got you. We have a large fire pit, Adirondak chairs, a large picnic table, and a swing set for the kids. Badminton and cornhole available on request. Family get-togethers or birthday parties are welcome! We are located just 1.5 miles from The Banks-Vernonia Trail. Bike campers are welcome! Feel free to bring along your 4-legged friends as well. We do not have a fence, so if you do not trust your dog of a leash, please keep them tied up. We have a lot of deer that pass through and untrained dogs love chasing them. Banks has a few restaurants to choose from: Subway, Dairy Queen, Main Street Pizza, Mary's Mexican Food, Hop-Cycle Brewing to name a few. There is also a Supermarket in town just in case you forgot your S'mores supplies, Spirits, or campfire wood. We are about 20 minutes away from McMenamins Grand Lodge, in Forest Grove, which hosts some great live concerts during the summer. We have a few fishing spots within about 30 minutes of the property. Hagg lake, Horning's Hideout, Dorman's Pond and the Wilson River are all popular spots. We have clean well water and 50A electrical hookups. We do not offer dumping of black water, but you can empty your tank at the Elks club in Forest Grove (25-minute drive) for free or Camping World over in Hillsboro. I don't mind if you drain your gray water on the property as long as you use a longer hose to keep it away from the immediate camping area. The parking area for RV's is fairly level and easy to get in and out of. During the late summer, our 5 apple trees produce great fruit. We also have 2 plum trees, and some blackberries. Feel free to pick what you would like. Currently, we do not have any public bathroom facilities available for campers, so please plan accordingly. There is a public bathroom at the "Manning Trailhead" about 1.5 miles away. Please feel free to ask me any questions, we are willing to make accommodations for special situations/events if possible! We would like to share our beautiful property just outside of Banks, OR. You will have access to a clean and quiet campsite surrounded by 40 year old Douglas Fir trees. Amenities include fresh well water (hose bib), full electrical hookups (110 and 220 50-amp), a large picnic table, 2 firepits, swing set for the kids, cornhole boards, badminton and chairs around the firepit. We can accommodate almost any size camper or RV. There is also plenty of room if you want the kids to sleep in a tent.  We can accommodate get-togethers or events with prior approval.  We are located about 1.5 miles from great biking/walking on the popular Banks-Vernonia Trail. ~50 minutes to seaside. ~30 minutes to Hagg Lake. ~ 20 minutes to McMenamins Grand Lodge (music Venue). Thanks for looking!

Family-Friendly Camping in Banks
Nice peaceful location. Easy to get in and out of. Set back from the hwy and with access to power and water if needed. Talon checked in with us to make sure everything was going okay and then let us enjoy the beauty of his place. A place I could see us coming back to again and again. It is close to Stub Stewart if you like to place disc golf and also a couple of trail heads are near by for biking.

Staying on the property is beautiful, relaxing , and quiet. It’s a wonderful park like setting that both my dog and I enjoy coming back too after a long day of working

Beautiful, secluded camping spot
The RV campsite overlooks a gorgeous, well-kept, large, rolling field of grass, and some trees. There's a fire pit built out of boulders, a picnic table, and a swing set. The host is very welcoming and even gave us s'more fixings, and there was already some firewood in the pit. We did opt for the badminton and corn hole, and my 8 year-old son enjoyed both. When booking, I wondered whether the site was private. It turned out that the site is next to a stored boat, and there is a house further up the hill on that side. However, that's on the side of your RV that you don't open to, and the boat storage breaks the house's view, so it did feel like we had privacy. The side that the RV does open to is quite beautiful, and my son remarked about it multiple times. There is a sweet, free-roaming white Labradoodle named Stanley who sometimes came to visit my dog, and joined us for a walk. We were able to get supplies in the nearby town of Banks. We also drove an hour (each way) to Tillamook and did the Creamery tour, with ice cream of course. Between all that, and also watching the movie "The Fall Guy" by the campfire on a laptop we brought, while having s'mores, my son asked to stay longer. We had to get back, but I would highly recommend this spot to anyone. An electrical hookup was available, and water but not by direct hookup. No shower or bathrooms (ours were in our RV anyway).

Family-Friendly Camping in Banks
I have enjoyed this campsite and the wonderful family that offers it immensely! It is a quiet, and beautiful place to return to after work or play. It is located in a perfect location to go explore Portland and the surrounding communities, or go the opposite direction to the beaches, and all that the coast has to offer.

Everything was great. The property is beautiful and the instructions were very thorough and helpful. We came in late and they even left the barn light on for us :-)
