Lovely Camp, Lovely People!
My husband and I camped here for a night to prep for the annular eclipse and had a lovely time. If you just want a place to crash for the night, this works great -- Julie and Lou gave us plenty of privacy, there are lots of secluded, flat places to pitch a tent, and the outhouse was exceptionally clean. But if you would like to spend some time with the hosts, they are lovely, warm, and welcoming! We did Julie's soap-making add-on experience and had so much fun getting to learn about the process but we also really enjoyed just spending some time with our hosts and their super friendly farm dog. They gave us some recommendations for food in La Pine and we had a great night meeting the locals before crashing in our tent for the night. We'd absolutely recommend this spot!

Julie and her husband were very kind and welcoming, and their land was easily accessible and quiet for a farm, and the goats liked attention. The campsites are primitive but that was all we needed to enjoy ourselves. It was a good spot to stop between Umpqua Forest and Bend!

This was a safe and relatively private place to sleep on our road trip. The woods in the camp area were pretty. The host was communicative and gave us clear directions to find the camp spot. Unfortunately, there were no toilets available outside of the primary house, so we used the woods since we arrived late. I would recommend future campers arrive during the day. The host's dogs were penned up near where we slept, and they were very vocal about our late arrival. They barked for a good 2 hrs before settling down.

Great place to stay!
An amazing place to stay!! What Julie and her husband are doing with the working farm and their land is inspiring! Julie was really welcoming, communicative and helpful. Felt very safe camping in my tent, under the watchful eye of the farms guardian dogs (although their job is to protect the farm animals from any inquisitive wildlife, rather than the campers!) Highly recommended!!

Camping in the pines feat. Goats
Lovely place, very kind hosts. Goats and dogs are fun. They were very accommodating for a very last minute, early season request!

Goats and wonderful hosts
Julie's working farm was a delightful experience. Midway between Crater lake and Bend it was a lovely low key space to camp.
