Star Hosts are highly rated, responsive, and committed to providing incredible experiences.
Since 2015 we have been steadily regenerating the soils and improving this once completely barren property. We now have diverse plant life on the property which in turns attracts diverse wildlife including insects, birds and reptile. Your stay here helps us to pay the bills and keep making this small patch of earth better.
Our property sits on a sunny bench just back from the ocean and just above the fog line. Our south facing location gets ample sunshine most days and is surrounded on 3 sides by a forest of trees. The property is fenced and access is by gate. There are two seperate campsites which are separated by our central garden and bamboo plantings.
On most days the maximum number of workers on the farm is two people (your hosts). This is a low traffic area. There is virtually no street traffic before 9 AM and none after 4 PM Mon-Sat and there is no traffic at all on Sundays.
Site 2 aka Freedom Camp is reserved exclusively for tent
Both camp sites can use the contracted portable toilet located on the property. We keep it clean and odor free for a safe and sanitary camping experience. Hand sanitizer is also provided.
Bring your bikes, boards and/or other outdoor gear! Many adventures can be had here on the central coast. Your hosts are avid surfers and cyclists and can help direct you to the best spots to match your skill level. Our property is close to town as well as road bike loops, gravel roads and mountain bike trails. We're also close to the beach and that's how we like it. Within 15 - 45 minutes drive surfers of all levels can find something fun to ride nearly everyday of summer and fall. The 18 hole golf course is just down the street from the property and the town of Waldport is only 2 miles away. Yachats is a short 12 minute drive to the south where you can find amazing plant based food and they serve fresh roasted coffee along with a large menu of other drinks and treats at The Green Salmon Cafe.
Miles of white sand beaches are located just down the hill from us where you can walk all the way from the mouth of the Alsea river to the mouth of the Yachats river. Forested and easily accessible walking trails are also nearby. South of the property is Cape Perpetua which is a 2,700 acre nature wonderland with whales, tide pools and blowholes. It is located in the Siuslaw National Forest and includes a 26 mile trail system. Relax and enjoy the scenic 15 mile drive from the farm to get there. The Waldport city skatepark and the Red River disc golf course are just 1.2 miles from the property. There is a brand new skatepark in Yachats just 7 miles away. Restaurants, cafes, a bakery and bars as well as shopping, banking and even an open air market (on Wednesdays) can be found in downtown Waldport which is a short 2 miles from your campsite.
We have some items such as bikes, surfboards, skateboards and more options available for rental (options will be shown when you book your site). Surf lessons for beginner and intermediate level are available. Guided surf sessions for intermediate and advanced level are available.
Bring your Electric Vehicle! There are charging stations close by in Yachats and Newport.

Site 1 aka Bamboo Camp is sunny and south-facing with garden, mountain and forest views. You can hear the sound of the ocean from this site especially when the waves are big. It is situated in a small meadow that is about 600 sq ft. On the north and east sides it is surrounded by an ever growing collection of medicinal and biodynamic plants, colorful flowers and plentiful bamboo. Looking south you will see the hemp (cannabis) field and the vegetable garden is to the west.
This spot is perfect for unloading your boards and/or bikes and getting situated for your next adventure(s). There is plenty of space at Bamboo Camp to spread out a bit.
Carefully drive straight in or back your vehicle in through the gate and get set up. Put out your tent, pop up your camper or slide open your van door. Feel free to set up camp chairs, portable table, solar shower, etc. The portable toilet is located nearby this site and solar and motion lights make it easy to see at night to walk around if needed. Potable water is also just feet away via a spigot/hose. Recycling, compost and trash bins are provided for guests. Just remember to always pick up after yourself and leave no trace.

We are always aware of the daily conditions. and know what breaks best and when on the different swell directions, tide levels and wind exposures. From longboards to short we can get you slotted. Surfing is why we live here and why we have stayed around for over a decade. We can take you to places you probably wouldn't find or your own or maybe wouldn't feel comfortable paddling out on your own at. If you score your best wave ever then afterwards you can take your surf guide out for food and coffee at the local cafe :)
The mornings are usually best and your guide will session with you for at least 2 hours in the water if you decide to purchase this experience. Your guide will show you where to paddle out and the best way to come in depending on current conditions. Your guide will also show you where to line-up to catch the best peaks and will be able to answer any questions you have about the spot of the day.
Guided surf experience is available daily. We will determine the best time to surf beforehand but generally morning is best time. On most days we will leave an hour before the session begins to check the spots and get suited. Timing is everything here on the central coast.

Great parking spot on their little farm, we barely fit our shuttle bus in, but it was gated and quiet and we were able to recharge our batteries! Would stay again!

Great place

Fantastic place to stay! I’m road-tripping down the coast and needed a last-minute campsite. I booked around 10 pm and arrived close to 11, right in the middle of a storm. Tobias went above and beyond to prepare the site and personally showed me around despite the weather. Truly exceptional service!
