Learn more about our land: In the heart of Willamette Valley AVA and on a breezy 20-acre lot of land we provide a space for you to set yourself up and enjoy life's natural bounty. We offer a small shared space with a wood fire stove and some essential items, many games (such as horseshoes), and lots of picnic areas and tables sprinkled throughout the property. The location is central and half an hour to just minutes away from water bodies Hagg Lake, Nestucca River, Yamhill River, little Niagara Falls, Mill Creek, Baker Creek, Rainbow Lake and more… Such as the Carlton public pool. If your looking to jaunt from camp a little further, we are located a little over an hour and a beautiful drive to the Pacific Coast and about an hour from Portland. Although in the middle of the country woods, we are surprisingly only two and a half miles from the adorable and quaint town of Carlton. So beside the views, you’ll be alongside some fantastic eateries and outstanding winemakers.  Being raised in the community, and over ten years of experience in the local food and wine industry, I can give recommendations aplenty.   ꕥ  The property has been in our family since the late 60’s and has recently been transferred in ownership to the next generation! It’s been a large adjustment with many precious memories in tow. In hopes to carry on the legacy we opened up camp mid-summer 2021, and it’s a work in progress (as work normally is!), but has been a beautiful experience being in a position to share. There are two family homes on the property with people who truly admire this land we have been given so we do ask you to respect our process in this adjustment, as we miss our grandparents and parents who have worked their entire lives for us to be here. With the work of these past couple seasons, and thanks to our fellow campers, we have been able to lay more gravel, get a more fluid bathroom situation established, and have purchased a 20ft stargazing tent that is in the works of being listed this season! So thank you for your support in this venture and in any form, I’m excited to be apart of your adventure and hope to see you in our neck of the woods soon! ❊ ❁ ❊  - Whitney

Celestine Fields & Oak Grove
Our camp site was very rustic and quiet. We did have a bit of trouble finding the sign to Celestine Fields but after turning around we were able to find it. The sign was very small but the instructions that was given was very thorough. (we just had trouble following the instructions) LOL We met Whitney and she was very kind and wanted to make sure we were taken care of and asked if we had any questions. It was nice to have that personal touch. We loved the glass house that was at the bottom, it was very cute and welcoming. We wanted to camp down there but was a little hesitate on taking our RV down there. But all in all, we had a great visit and would certainly come and visit again. Thank you, Whitney, for giving us a positive experience with our first Hip camp.

Celestine Fields & Oak Grove
We had a wonderful at Celestine Fields. Whitney was warm, enthusiastic and accommodating. We found the perfect little spot, tucked away in the trees to park our camper. It was quiet, peaceful and beautiful. Walking around the property was enjoyable, and we appreciated the lovely view of the valley below. The porta potty was very clean, and conveniently located. We would recommend this Hipcamp spot to friends and strangers! We hope to visit, again, in the future.

My partner and I had a peaceful night. Beautiful views. Whitney had a family member come out within minutes when we needed a jump for our truck. Great experience camping there.

Celestine Fields : Canvas Stargazer
Campsite yes - Bathoom no
We stopped here for a night on our way home. I can’t say enough about how adorable the tent is! Bed was comfy and the host was very helpful in providing additional bedding for our kids. There are so many amenities inside, it’s very well thought out and was very magical. What holds this place back is the bathroom situation. We use hipcamp a lot, we’ve seen some funky bathroom set ups. But this porta potty took the cake. It smelled foul, there were so many flies in it and landing on you while you used it. Very unsettling. All I could think about was how disappointed I’d be if I booked this for a romantic getaway and then found out how awful the bathroom was. Overall very cute and the host was very sweet. But I don’t see myself booking again due to the bathroom.

Summer Camp Vibe
This was a great home base for a weekend of summer fun with a small group of friends. Spacing of dispersed sites allows for groups to keep to themselves while the glass house and community fire pit allow dedicated space for socializing. Would do again and have already shared with more friends. Thanks for the thoughtful accommodations!

Charming Find!
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We hit Whitney up at the last minute after our search for a site at a State Park was getting dire. Not only was she able to approve our stay at the last minute, she greeted us on site to point out all the amenities available. We were prepared to rough it, so having a Porta John and handwashing station on site was a plus. We could tell this was a special place and are so grateful to be able to stay!! Be sure to check out The Glass House for anything you may have forgotten!
