Very serene, quiet & private. Lovely open spot with 2 little cabins & an rv spot - each with their own bbq/cooking spot with pucnic table or seating. The porta potty was clean - the portable sink made washing up a breeze. The communal campfire made sitting out in the starry night magical.
As the title implies blackberries abound on this property! The cabin itself is thoughtfully decorated and equipped with essentials for cooking and washing up and the bed is super comfortable! The property is quiet (though I was the only guest) while still being super accessible and the gas fire pit is an added bonus. Everything is as advertised and I would definitely stay here again while passing through the area.
We needed a spot to stay after having our plans to Diamond Lake diverted by a forest fire. I spied Blackberry Hollow on the app as we were 20 mins away and booked in. The site is a gently sloping field in Cottage Grove - look out for a flag with a letter B that marks the entrance - with an outdoor sink and very clean porta-potty. There are small glamping huts and a propane fire - neither of which we used, since we were travelling in our own RV and loathe to do anything with flames! But the set up was there and appreciated. We had a peaceful night - distant electrical storms notwithstanding - in Lesa's field, which abuts a farm. And we appreciated being the only guests, apart from three deer who trotted past at breakfast. A last-minute, but welcome stay.
