Welcome to Camp Rose Island! Re-opening Canada Day Weekend 2025! We are 95acres of gorgeous natural land with a private lake! Featuring luxurious Rooftop Tents by Cascadia Vehicle Tents! Each site offers a brand new Rooftop Tent (RTT) with queen size memory foam mattress, perched above an indoor/outdoor structure with camp stove and dining area - all fully screened, with more space for tents on each site too! Each site also has its own dedicated outhouse and fire pit! Additionally, 3/4 of the sites offer a lower level “annex” of the RTT, which can fit up to a double bed, or simply be used as a changing area - it’s also a great place for your pets at night, directly below the sleeping quarters above, or as a cozy place to hang out during inclement weather. With only 4 sites to rent across the entire property you are guaranteed peace and tranquility. Guests enjoy access to the private lake on the property, as well as canoes and a floating raft, and the beautiful winding trail throughout the land. There’s really nothing like this unique experience!

Sleep in the trees! Enjoy a brand new rooftop tent (RTT) with memory foam bed perched above an indoor/outdoor shelter. Bring your cooler, a bathing suit and kick back in nature! The rooftop tent provided comfortably sleeps 2 adults + a small child, and its lower level can sleep 1 (possibly 2) more. The site has space for more tents too! Plus a private fire pit and outhouse. This is 1 of only 4 sites across 95acres, a hidden gem. Welcome to Camp Rose Island! If you've never heard of Cascadia Vehicle Tents - they're great! Typically installed on the roof of a vehicle, we decided to pop ours on top of a modern structure designed for breezy off-grid living. The tent has all the things a normal tent has, only way better. Use the ladder to climb in and enjoy a comfy queen+ sized bed underneath stargazing windows. The tent also boasts a large lower level area that is completely enclosed and can be used as additional sleeping quarters (guests bring their own pads/mattresses/cots), or use it for your belongings, a pet sleeping area, a change room, or just a cozy place to hang out in the event of inclement weather. Underneath the tent platform is a screened-in deck containing a camp stove and small food prep area. All newly built in 2023 and designed for simple low-impact vacationing. A safe distance away you will find a fire pit and more space for spreading out, playing with the dog, and space for one 8-person and one 2-3-person tent. Enjoy our private lake via the shared dock located down a short path, only a 2 min walk from the site. You’ll also have access to a large 10x10 raft in the middle of the lake, two canoes, a paddle board and life jackets. Just steps away from the tent (but far enough for privacy) you'll find a new outhouse that is dedicated to the site. Didn't bring firewood? No problem! We offer bundles of hardwood at $10 each, sustainably sourced and hand harvested by ourselves. ***Please note: This site is located somewhat deep in the property from the municipal road, and the trail to it is only recommended for 4WD vehicles. You are welcome to park your car in the front of the property and hike 10 mins to the site down the beautiful winding trail (a great way to see the property), a wagon is available on request. The property you'll be enjoying is 95 acres of privately owned land with forests, marshlands, ponds, and meadows and is largely natural and wild, with typical forest hazards. By booking at Camp Rose Island you agree to all risk to persons and property in your group. We are 15 mins from the hamlet of Coe Hill, and only a few minutes from the OFSC trails, Silent Lake Provincial Park is nearby, and Bancroft is only 35mins away.

Sleep in the trees with the soothing sounds of a gentle waterfall in the background. Enjoy a brand new Rooftop Tent with memory foam bed perched above a screened shelter with camp stove and dining area. The rooftop tent comfortably sleeps 2 adults + a small child, and the shelter can sleep more! The site has space for a tent too, message for more guests. You’ll have access to our private lake, a 10min walk down a gorgeous trail through the property. This is 1 of only 4 sites across 95acres, a hidden gem. Welcome to Camp Rose Island! If you've never heard of Cascadia Vehicle Tents - they're great! Typically installed on the roof of a vehicle, we decided to pop ours on top of a modern minimal structure designed for breezy off-grid living. The tent has all the things a normal tent has, only way better. Use the ladder to climb in and enjoy a comfy queen+sized bed underneath stargazing windows. The bed is like a queen size only longer - tons of space! Under the tent platform is a screened-in deck containing a camp stove and small dining area. All newly built in 2023 and designed for simple low-impact vacationing. A safe distance away you will find a fire pit with space for spreading out, playing with the dog, or even setting up another tent if you are a larger group. There is also a set of two trees spaced perfectly for your portable hammock! Enjoy access to our private lake about a 10min stroll through the forest. By the lake you will find 2 canoes, a paddleboard, hammock, and a 10x10 raft in the middle of the water. The lake is shared with other campers, though there are only 4 sites across the entire 95 acre property, in an endeavour to maintain the tranquility of the area and provide a relaxed atmosphere for our guests. The campsite itself is located within the property away from municipal roads, off of a well used trail, large enough to drive down (though we recommend 4WD vehicles only). This means that you have the option to drive in, or hike in from a parking area a few hundred metres from the site. Just a short walk from the tent (but far enough for privacy) you'll find a brand new outhouse. Didn't bring firewood? No problem! We offer bundles of hardwood for $10 each, sustainably hand harvested by ourselves. The property you'll be enjoying is 95 acres of privately owned land with forests, marshlands, ponds, and meadows.
