Welcome to Backwoods Cabin Co. We have two unique glamping cabins available on our property located on the outskirts of Tweed and Madoc. The perfect spot to unwind, relax, and snuggle by the wood stove. There is a loop trail that goes around the entire 11 acres of land. There are markers along the trail so you know the boundaries of the area My family and I live on the property, we are here if you need anything urgently. We do spend a lot of time outside so the odd time you might hear our kids playing. We do have 2 VERY friendly dogs named Copper and Chief who might bark at you when you pull into the driveway but are on an electric fence so cannot get back to the cabin. We also have an outdoor cat named Wessie that may come and say hello. My partner and I absolutely loved staying at Jack's Cabin. My little dog loved the trails and the wood burning stove kept us so cozy and warm. The cabin was well stocked and Malissa was very responsive when we needed some extra kindling. Can't wait to stay here again!

my pup and I had an amazing time! The cabin was perfect and had everything we needed. I got stuck on the drive in, but was helped and towed out super quick. Thanks again! I’d definitely come back.

Cozy Stay with Woodstove

We absolutely loved our stay at Jack’s. It’s so cozy and beautiful. The woodstove was our favourite part of the cabin and it kept it so warm! There is a walking trail around the property and it’s very calm and quiet! It’s the perfect winter getaway!

Perfect Cabin!

Beautiful, cozy cabin with all the amenities. Clean, beautifully decorated and maintained. Tons of firewood to keep warm. Love the dvds, books, games, guitar in the cabin. Hosts are close by if needed. Location is so close to a few towns if you need groceries. Very easy to find. Can't wait to come again!

The Coziest Cabin

If you’re a newbie to “off grid” cabins, I’d definitely recommend this one! They have many features that make it feel at home rather than camping. The cabin is tucked in on their property so you can easily get items from Malissa who is very responsive. Unfortunately didn’t get a chance to explore the trails but love that they offered them.

We loved staying at jacks. Very cozy and everything was so cute. Just wish i would've picked warmer days to go lol but we will be back. Loved the wood stove. I successfully managed to keep the cabin warm all night
