Primitive camping on 30+ acres of big trees and rocks. Secluded spots with level, cleared areas are available for tent campers and parking. Or hike into the woods for a wilderness adventure. Motorhomes, RV, and 5th wheels have options too. One pull through loop offers easy in and out for up to a 40ft vehicle. Two more vehicle access points are available. Busses, smaller campers, and vans may choose pull in locations with option to stay hitched or park separately. We only have one site listed on this property to provide a private camping experience. No other campers, loud music, all night light, generators, kids, or pets. All of which you are welcome to bring since you are the ONLY campers on property. There is room to accommodate a large camping group with multiple vehicles. If you would like to hold a group campout, or have any question about the property contact me. State Highway 1, known as the Talimena Scenic Byway, bisects the recreation area. U. S. Highway 271 loops up through the summit. Winding Stair Mountain National Recreation Area and the nearby Upper Kiamichi River and Black Fork Mountain Wilderness areas were created by an act of Congress on October 18, 1988. The recreational area consists of 26,445 acres (107.02 km2), comprising the Winding Stair Mountains, several campgrounds, an 85 acres (340,000 m2) lake and many hiking trails. It lies mostly within LeFlore County, Oklahoma. A 45-mile (72 km) section of the Ouachita National Recreation Trail passes through the recreation area providing for diverse hiking opportunities. Georgeous property, gracious host.

Beautiful, remote property. Peaceful & private I arrived after dark, and found the property with no issues. I parked near the road (my choice since it was dark) and only noticed one vehicle pass all night. Jeana was friendly and helpful. Her property appeared well maintained with nicely cleared trails and camping spaces. The place is georgeous, wooded, peaceful and felt safe. Lots of great shade trees. I drove in from Dallas and stopped for fuel in Atoka. I'm glad I did! Hwy 43 was 40 miles of nothing except a narrow 2 lane highway and georgeous views. I did not notice a gas station or really anywhere to stop, but the road all the way there was well maintained and marked well. There was very little traffic. Great drive. The last 2 miles was mixed pavement and gravel. Totally fine for 2WD.

Beautiful Area!

Tent camping on the summit was awesome! The land was beautiful, we camped on top of the hill and had great views and loved exploring the area! Our dogs had a blast checking everything out too. Jeanie was so friendly and happy to help us when we arrived. A lovely getaway from the city, we are definitely camping here again ☺️

I loved tent camping on Jeana’s land! When we arrived she came over and introduced herself and was very friendly and open to communication. The area is also very pretty!! I am sure we will be back!

Absolutely beautiful, secluded and quiet! We were greeted when we arrived and were given options where to Park. We picked a spot with amazing view! Will be back to this gem!
