This 55 acre park is home of a large sandstone that contains 8 markings believed to have been made by Vikings many years ago. The park features a seasonal waterfall, covered picnic areas, playground, amphitheater with seating, community building, scenic views, gift shop and approximately 2 miles of nature trails. Be advised that most tent sites have a tent pad but a few are primitive. The one RV site is for 16 ft. or less vehicles and smaller teardrop trailers with limited hook-up and no dump station. Restroom and shower facilities are located within the park. Forest setting while still close to stores in case of forgotten items but the gift shop is stocked with camping supplies, as well. Variety of small wildlife in the area. All sites allow campfires UNLESS we are under a county wide burn ban. *Note moderate cancellation policy for most dates - full refund 3 days before check-in time. * ** Special event camping is a strict no refund policy.

We didn't end up being able to make it, but they were very pleasant on the phone when I called and told them about our timing issue. I can't wait to actually go camp here!

#1 - Group site near play area

I really enjoyed taking my young family camping here. Spot number 1 gave my kiddos free reign to play at on the playground and then still have privacy for us to enjoy our s'mores in peace. Staff was very helpful and campground is well kept. Would definitely recommend!

#10 - Camp Road

The park was very quiet and peaceful. It was very clean and the staff was super sweet. We didn't care much for our campsite, but that was just due to our own preference. We will definitely be staying there again in a different site.

#3 - Cliff Side

Nice park with friendly and helpful staff. Site #3 was down a small hill behind a community building. So not a lot of privacy on busy days. The campsite had quite a few rocks that couldn't be moved. We were able to set up a family size tent, but had to sleep on a slope. It shouldn't be an issue for smaller tents though.

#3 - Cliff Side

The site was nice could have used more pics beforehand and maybe a better description. I would camp here again, but I would choose one of the spots opposite the cliff with kids. One for safety and two because there was a constant stream of hikers and such walking up next to our tent all day. It is a public park in daytime hours, so lots of strangers roaming up by your stuff. Also could use a better marker for the campsite numbers. Took a minute to figure where it was because some are visible from the parking lot and some are hidden. Otherwise nice facility and some great hiking and such on site and nearby.
