Woody is our peaceful hilltop home nestled amongst the scenic hills in southeast Ohio between Hocking Hills State Park and Zaleski State Forest. Enjoy staying on a hilltop meadow filled with a mix of wildflowers and song birds. The meadow is surrounded by a tall mixed hardwood forest where campers are free to walk the mowed path through the woods. Come nightfall, you will be graced with some of the darkest skies in the state. On a clear moonless night, the milky way galaxy comes in to view and shooting stars are not an uncommon site. Choose between staying in the off grid school bus tiny home or the 20 foot "glamper" with outdoor kitchen. If you're lucky, our friendly black cat will grace you with his presence. Woody is located within 25 minutes of many of the areas attractions: 15 minutes to Ash Cave 18 minutes to Cedar Falls 17 minutes to Lake Hope 10 minutes to McArthur 25 minutes to Logan Here at Woody we honor our place in the natural world and are humbled by the beauty that surrounds us. We see ourselves as a part of nature and work towards having a deeper connection with the earth and our place in it by applying caretaker attitude and careful technological use and observation. Our mission is to leave bounty in our wake. If you would like to dive deeper into your own connection with nature, consider taking one of many classes offered by Austin during your stay. Check them out in the add-ons. We would love for you to come stay with us and be a part of a healing landscape where you can disconnect from your day to day, reconnect with nature and experience the Woody Acres magic. Hope to see you soon! Austin and Kate

Bus Campsite
My girlfriend and I stayed in the bus for two nights and for the most part it was really good. The bus is on a lovely farm with trails to hike and goats to meet. Although it is in the middle of nowhere, which I did enjoy, the other campsites they have are very close together so it is not as private as some may like. Also I would take into account the weather if you come here, when they say the bus has no shade and gets really hot, it is no exaggeration. During our visit it was high 80s and it sure did feel like it. The last thing to note about our trip was that the bathroom had a lovely wasp nest waiting for us and we were unable to use it due to not wanting to be stung. All together it was a good trip and I recommend going to the town of Vinton and visiting their Coffee and Barbecue supply store.

Great Place for Solo Female Guest!
The bus was absolutely perfect for three night stay and hiking adventure. The bus had everything I needed and the bed was very comfortable. The property was beautiful and as a solo female traveler I felt very safe on the property. Kate and Austen were very sweet and accommodating. On my final night I hung out with their super sweet kitty. I did not realize how many amazing sights there were to see in Ohio. I would recommend Woody Acres and the Hocking Hills area to anyone who wants to explore nature. I cannot wait to return.

The perfect getaway!
My daughter and I had the pleasure of staying in the bus recently. It’s everything you’d expect! The bus was perfect for a comfortable get away in the outdoors. The property is beautiful and a great space to enjoy the outdoors. Kate and Austen were one of the best parts. They were accommodating, friendly and a pleasure to talk to. We are looking forward to returning soon!

Most Beautiful Spot
Wow! What a beautiful place!! I took a spontaneous trip with my three kids (11, 8, 3) and we had such a blast. The property is freaking gorgeous! We had everything we needed too as far as utensils and cooking supplies went! The RV was so beautiful and comfortable. The beds were extremely comfortable to sleep on. The fireplace was awesome. There were a couple of trails you could walk through. She has a school bus you can stay in also! It’s also beautiful! But we did not stay in it. I would absolutely come back here.

Very good vibes. We loved the bus and everything that they had set up. Even the bathrooms were great. Would absolutely recommend to friends and go back if we return to the area!
