The Viking longhall has been 9 years in the making by a group of semi serious Viking enthusiasts: the result is a 60 foot long building that has 18, 8,x4' sleeping berths. Set apart from the main open area it also boasts 2 meeting rooms and a kitchen. The campsite is a very peaceful place. Some go as far as to say a healing place! We are proud of what we have achieved and now want people to come out and enjoy it also. The field is close enough to the Appalachian highway (state route 32) for convenience, but far enough not to be bothered by it. The area is steeped in Native American culture. In fact, the world famous Serpent Mound is but 8 miles away, with many other Adena culture sites within easy driving distance. It's also in the heart of the Amish community. The area is known for its natural beauty with many hiking trails and canoeing opportunities. The area is awash in beauty and history from the ancient mound culture to the amish culture. The area has many hiking trails some of which are part of the buckeye trail and range in length from an easy 1 mile loop to rugged hikes of many miles. Come out and share the land that we have loved for the last 30 years PLEASE NOTE….WE WILL NO LONGER BE SUPPLYING BEDDING OR TOWELS.

The Viking Longhall
Great for RPG fun!
My D&D group stayed at the Longhall to enjoy a weekend of nature and tabletop games. It rained the whole entire stay and we still had an amazing time. Our group is already talking about going back next year. If anyone is trying to find a secluded place to RPG or LARP, you have found the place to stay.

The Viking Longhall
We stayed at the Longhall and Roundhouse for two nights to celebrate a birthday with family and friends. It was a beautiful property with hidden gems at every turn. I especially loved the indoor/outdoor kitchen in the Longhall, the ambiance of all the candles and the firepit. Everything about the Roundhouse was just stunning and magical! David and Ivea were charming and thoughtful hosts. If you're looking for an unforgettable adventure, this is it!

Tent Camp at Viking Longhall
Soulful Gathering Land
Outstanding, slept the longest and deepest, so quiet and dark. Loved nature sounds all around, many birds. Excellent fire set up for me to tend. The Cottage was divine, welcoming, luxurious bed and decor. I was toasty warm in the morning and didn't want to leave. Fresh hot water delivered every morning and the most heart warming conversations with David and Ivea. One of the best camping sites I've experienced. 5 acres of Peace. The Viking Longhall is amazing inside as well. Looked into the yurt. Incredible decor and smells refreshing as it's cedar built. Great space for solo or large groups. Hot shower and clean pit toilet. Bring bug spray and open heart. David provided water and firewood. Excellent hosts with lots of love. Best respite. Everything you need in nature's blessing space.

Tent Camp at Viking Longhall
We had an incredible stay. We actually ended up staying in a newly built Yurt instead of setting up camp (it was stunning, I can’t wait for them to post the photos). You can tell right away how much love and energy was put into the property, every detail was attended to. David was the perfect host and checked on us a few times to make sure we were well oriented and had everything we needed and the coffee in the morning was the cherry on top. I only wish our schedule allowed us to stay more than a night, the atmosphere and activities were exactly what we were looking for. I can’t wait to come back.
