Rustic Camping in Turkey Hollow
I love the campground, it's very beautiful and would definitely go again! Although, the wood for purchasing was not under the shelter and thrown in a pile next to it so it was all wet since it was raining a bit when we camped. I think overall my experience was that I loved it, definitely going next fall!

Third or fourth time staying here and as always a great experience! Peaceful, quiet, and beautiful scenery.

Loved the cows! Cows are the best part. The site was just fine, but the COWS. Amazing.

Camping around Cows
We had a lovely time camping on this property. Everything was clean, the direction was perfect. There was another set of campers there but we was never bothered by anyone. We enjoyed hiking around, walked down to Kermit’s camping & the 4x4 trails and it was a lovely view everywhere. Thank you again!!!

Avoid if possible
It was the only place to camp in the area., unfortunately. The paved road there was steeply hilly, but the worst part was the long poorly maintained switchback to the camping area with loose sand and large gravel. On a bike, it’s dreadful.
Happy there was an outlet to charge batteries.
The Porta-John was very clean, but the shower was in the open with no surround and only gravel and a large rock to stand on. The water was very cold even though there was a gizmo to supposedly warm it. The shower heads only put out 4-6 stinging sprays.
A large group camped in the woods and played very loud music until well after midnight. That’s tough when you’re exhausted after riding 50 miles.
There seems to be no oversight of anything and we never met the owner.

Van Life Camping
We have a Ford Sprinter 350 van conversion and thought we wouldn’t make it down the zigzag road to the primitive sites. We did! If you have a van highly recommend the trail to the left of the sign w/ flag. Make and right and you’ll have two spots to pick from.
The property was fun to explore and pretty private. Bathrooms were clean and firewood was available.
Only complaint is the group tent area was blaring music way past midnight. I don’t think they realize how loud the noise carried. Kind of took away from the peaceful atmosphere.
