Pleasant Valley Farm was originally a working farm with a two-story farmhouse and traditional bank barn, built in the late 1800s. The massive timbers and joinery are constant reminders of the meticulous craftsmanship of the era. Jim and Kathy Grogg purchased Pleasant Valley Farm in 1994 and not only updated the house and barn, but also expanded the lake to its current 13 acres. The large 144-year-old, 2736-square-foot barn is now available for special occasions such as weddings, receptions, birthdays, and reunions.

Awesome Spot! I’ll be back!
Such a cool property! I arrived early enough to walk around and see all the campsites all of them are very nice. The bathrooms are clean with modern fixtures and they’re in an awesome barn. The #11 site is in a nice location with plenty of room for larger groups.

#6 Lake side
Site #6 Lake Side
I stayed at site #6 Lake Side. I camped solo for 2 days and had the most peaceful time! I fell in love with this site as soon as I started driving down the access road next to the lake to get to it. It was so quiet and away from the rest of the property. It was very flat, making for a very easy time setting up. I had a slip to put my kayak in and out of the water. The view from this site is beautiful! It was a walk to the bathroom, but such a beautiful one! Bathroom was very clean! There were very few bugs at site 6 and full sun all day. It was hot, but I had 2 EZ ups for shade. One of my mornings, I explored the property. I went back in to the trails for a bit, checked out the other empty camp sites, the old barn is so pretty and the farmhouse is straight out of a postcard. There is a beautiful dock to hang out on too! I kayaked a lot and for the most part was the only one out in the water for 2 days. I did get to see James drive his speedboat with his daughter being pulled behind! That was fun! James was such a sweet man. He was very welcoming from the minute I pulled in. He even had a battery available to jump my truck when the battery died! I will be back to this property again very soon and will continue to go back! Probably to the same site while it’s still kayaking weather! I would like to try a couple other sites as well! I highly recommend this property! Happy camping!

#4 Tree park
Stayed at site #4. Despite there being multiple other groups there this site felt really private. Took kayaks to fish out of which worked out really well other than being a little challenging to launch due to the slope. Jim offered his canoe as well. Lake seemed cleaned and we caught plenty of fish. Super easy trip from columbus and definitely worth it for pretty private camping and access to water for fishing or swimming. Thank you Jim

#9 Barn Side
Lovely Farm Stay
We absolutely loved our picturesque over night stay at the farm! Gorgeous full moon walk around the lake, gorgeous old barn to take cover in during a pop up rain storm, quiet campsite. It was lovely. I missed a morning swim because the air was very chilly after the storms but we will absolutely be back on our next drive to New York. Lovely pit stop. :) thank you!
