Pleasant Valley Farm was originally a working farm with a two-story farmhouse and traditional bank barn, built in the late 1800s. The massive timbers and joinery are constant reminders of the meticulous craftsmanship of the era. Jim and Kathy Grogg purchased Pleasant Valley Farm in 1994 and not only updated the house and barn, but also expanded the lake to its current 13 acres. The large 144-year-old, 2736-square-foot barn is now available for special occasions such as weddings, receptions, birthdays, and reunions.

#9 Barn Side

Lovely Farm Stay

We absolutely loved our picturesque over night stay at the farm! Gorgeous full moon walk around the lake, gorgeous old barn to take cover in during a pop up rain storm, quiet campsite. It was lovely. I missed a morning swim because the air was very chilly after the storms but we will absolutely be back on our next drive to New York. Lovely pit stop. :) thank you!

The host was very friendly. The site was beautiful. We were close enough to the bathrooms to make it convenient, but not so close that we had people walking past us constantly. All of the sites were a good distance away from each other. I loved not being on top of others. The lake is beautiful and we did get to swim in it a bit. I would definitely return.

Cabin ~ Shed

I was nervous about sleeping on the air mattress but surprisingly it was comfortable and we slept thru the night no problem! the owner was very prompt and friendly! We are hoping to camp one more time this year, but this time tent camping for us! The property alone makes it worth it, a piece of tranquility! Cant wait to be back!

Quick overnight getaway

Camping at Pleasant Valley was lovely! We had originally booked site #2, but asked to move to site #1 since we were the only campers there. Both sites had a picnic table and a fire ring. Wonderful stargazing, soft grass underfoot, and had a blast watching the host & his friends waterski! The morning & evening sun can be a bit intense, so think carefully about where you position your tent. Barn is beautiful along with the bathroom & water facilities. Hope to be back someday!

I really enjoyed the weekend camping here. It was quiet, clean, and the lake was beautiful. The host was great and very helpful. The bathrooms were clean and easily accessible.
