Learn more about this land: If you are here in the spring through fall, you can expect a "sea of green". We are surrounded by corn, soybeans or some other mid-west crop. It's quiet out here, so enjoy the sunshine. We put out a large garden each year and we'd love your help. Right now, we can only offer primitive camping. Our electric is not operational. If there has been a lot of rain (April and part of May), then the ground is too soft for camping. However, if you just need a spot we have some gravel driveways where you can set up. There are lots of places to visit while you are here. Two large lakes with free public access are about 40 miles away - Lake Loramie and Grand Lake St. Marys. Lake Loramie has a public beach, bicycle rentals, canoes and kayaks. There is a great restaurant across from the State Park.If you are here in the spring through fall, you can expect a "sea of green". We are surrounded by corn, soybeans or some other mid-west crop. Would camp again!
Great place to camp while coming through the area! Right on the border of Ohio into Indiana! Although there’s farm animals it’s a quiet place with plenty of privacy. Definitely would stay here again!

John was very friendly and helpful. The place was very private. We had the whole place to ourselves. If you’re looking to get away from it all, this is the place to be.

Good spot for truly quiet country
Overall this was a good spot to camp, especially if you're looking for the quiet you can only get in truly rural areas, plus it's located near a number of great parks (eg, Greenville Falls). There's also a lot of space to spread out and the area is almost completely flat, with a few mini hills and holes. As a bonys, the host John is super friendly! There were a few downsides though, such as the amount plastic and metal debris in the camping area, especially the space closest to the road. We were also disappointed about there not being any trees suitable for hammock camping, despite specifically asking John about this in advance. Lastly the trailer where the flush toilet and shower were located needed substantial work - we saw several mice in the living room/kitchen, small sections of flooring were just plywood underlayment, etc.

Camping with the nature!
I loved tent camping at John’s property! It’s very private and you’ll see their two beautiful giant Danes and a plentiful of hens and a rooster! It’s very cozy and peaceful property. We will come back. Real soon.
