Scott’s Bottom
Great Quiet and Secluded Location
I stopped there on my trip back after hiking a few days in West Virginia. It was perfect as it was very secluded and great for looking at the stars at night. The host responded immediately after I booked a spot for that night. A little ways from major highways (it was about 20 mile off my route), but secluded and quiet was what I look for and found it there.

Scott’s Bottom
Scott had a wonderful piece of property, and he was a gracious host. Campsites were marked and easy to find. I would certainly recommend for anyone visiting the area!

Scott’s Bottom
Perfect place to camp!
Scott’s Bottom was the perfect place for me and my dog! Love the area, beautiful views on the way in, and nice secluded sections to camp and relax.
I will definitely camp here again soon!!
I met Scott on the way in (due to missing my campsite from being distracted by the views/area), but the camp sites were well labeled. Scott is very nice and willing to help me with anything if needed.

Scott’s Bottom
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was so quiet and peaceful. There was no one else there at the other 2 sites so had the whole place to ourselves. There is a lot of area to explore on the property and a nice creek to visit. Thanks Scott for having us!!

Scott’s Bottom
Scott’s Bottom is Amazing!
We loved our stay at Scott’s! It’s a huge wooded property with ravines, trails. wetlands and a wild feel. If you like
backpacking but need a drive up option for a change, Scott’s is the place. Camps are 1/4 to 1/2 or so off his mile long driveway. Sites are spaced for apart on different ridges with lots of blow down to make a nice fire. This is not glamping with outhouses and chairs, it’s more like a private reserve with rustic camps. You bring everything to camp, cook, sit, etc... Scott provides the solitude and wildlife. You do need plenty of water as the stream is part of the hike to the valley, but not close to the sites up on the ridge. Scott was very responsive with suggestions and answered our questions thoroughly. He’s an interesting guy too,, we ran into him on the way out. We plan to come back in the Fall.
