Camping in our woods is a true respite from daily life. We live 1 mile from the Virginia Kendall Park within the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Our property is heavily wooded, includes a creek, 1/2 mile walking path and seclusion from our home. The site is a short walk from the driveway, which provides ample parking.

Moon House Site 1

This was one of our favorite HipCamps ever - and that is saying a LOT since we’ve had many wonderful HipCamp experiences! The property is absolutely stunning - a beautiful grove of trees with a very cool outdoor shower and a clean, well maintained outhouse. Along with string lights in the trees that made our arrival late in the evening all the more welcoming. Katie and her husband were responsive and helpful throughout our stay - we were in the midst of some whirlwind travel so this was so very much appreciated. The barn on the property is worth booking this HipCamp in an of itself if you are a pinball enthusiast!!! And the hot tub was an absolute dream after a full day of hiking in Cuyahoga National Park (which was just minutes away). Thank you so much to our kind hosts!

We loved camping on Katie's site. Very close to Cuyahoga Valley National Park and right across the street from a great outdoor store. The camping area itself was spectacular. Even though it was only a hundred yards from the back of their house, it was very private. The site was even better than the photos on their listing. Katie was very responsive and keen on making sure we were happy campers! We even got to use the hot tub, a welcome relief after a day of hiking.

Despite the rough weather, I greatly enjoyed my stay with Katie, her family, and her two playful pups. The facilities were more than adequate, the hosts were helpful and welcoming, and the atmosphere of the land was fantastic. The hot tub was a game changer after a very chilly night of tent camping. Katie and her family were a wealth of knowledge for local spots and were helpful beyond the usual host. I'd recommend this stay to anyone.

Amazing!!

It pains me to leave this review only because I want to keep this camp private and not share how amazing my stay was! Our hosts were wonderful especially the 2 dogs. My friend and I tent camped and over night the outdoor temps dropped, but the next morning we blissfully sat in the swim spa and felt my soul return to my body! Can’t say enough good things about our stay.
