My husband and I loved the location of Matthew’s spot. It was right in the Kokosing river. We enjoyed watching wildlife in the area. We felt secluded yet close to twin if we needed any staples. There was a slight mix up upon arrival. Another family thought they had booked our spot. On the Hipcamp app, the spots look like you can choose which one you’re booking, but upon arrival, Matthew instructed us to go ahead and park in either spot 1 or 2, whichever we preferred. This caused a slight discrepancy between the other campers and ourselves. I think this needs to be clarified on the listing.

The campground is not secluded at all. We were around a bunch of electrical construction workers that were hollering and hooping. The ground is very unlevel at the campsites and I thought it was way overpriced, considering it was just another run of the Mill Campground. It was not a Hipcamp that I’m used to. The only good thing about it was the views

Had a great time on Matthew's site! I pulled a small travel trailed there for the weekend and it was perfect. There are other campers in rvs but it was still quiet and nice. We had our own area and was able to swim and paddleboard in the river. We had an amazing and relaxing weekend!

It's Fair to Midland
We arrived at the Caves Campground around 5 p.m. on a rainy day. No one was around to direct us to the area for tent camping. It was not obvious nor marked. We eventually found level ground in an area the many RVs were not likely to set-up. Probably because all of the other campers were in RVs, the bathroom was "campground clean". This was appreciated. The nature sounds were unusual, varied and amazing.
It wasn't a bad experience. But I wouldn't recommend Caves Campground, nor likely to return.

Loved our campsite right by the river. Enjoyed fishing and walking to the waterfall. Very peaceful place and definitely will be going back soon.
