This camp is located on an operating Christmas Tree Farm. Naturally growing Nova Scotia balsam fir has been cultivated on this property for over 40 years. The tree farm is 18 acres as part of a 60 acre managed woodlot. A fire pond is located just below the camp. The pond is sometimes stocked with trout from a local hatchery, but difficult to keep because of the feeding habits of great blue herons & cormorants so plentiful in this part of coastal Nova Scotia. This woodlot has been in our family since 1950 when it was a pasture lot for grazing animals as part of the family farm in Tracadie. Learn more about this land: Come take in the beautiful sunsets over St George’s Bay and Cape Breton Island!  Located on an actively managed Christmas Tree Farm. This 16 x 20 cozy camp has a loft accessible by Attic ladder, 1 double and 1 single bed in the loft, and 2 sofa beds on the main floor. Recommend the use of personal sleeping bags. There is an outhouse bathroom and solar power for lights. Propane & wood stove. Fully stocked kitchen and woodshed!  You will have all the privacy you desire and will leave feeling refreshed and relaxed! The property is about 5 km from the service center with a liquor outlet. Located about 20 minutes from the Cape Breton causeway, it is the perfect launching spot for your Cape Breton adventure! Several beaches within a short drive!

Cabin on Christmas Tree Farm
My family stayed at this beautiful cabin just as autumn was beginning for 2 nights. The scenery was breathtaking, the cabin was well stocked and the adjacent toilet house even had a solar heated seat. My 4 year old loved the cowboy books, my older son picked a ton of delicious late season blueberries, and our rainy day was enjoyed inside with the fire going in the woodstove while we did some artwork inspired by that on the cabin walls. We only used the electricity before we went to bed each night for a short time and could have easily done without it, but it was appreciated. We did dishes in a wash basin in front of a narrow window with water heated on the fire. The beds were comfortable and they provided us with clean bedding. The pillows were great! We were all thankful for our stay, to say the least. It's a beautiful cabin that has been recently updated and I would use any excuse to go back.

Relaxing and beautiful stay
Had a wonderful and relaxing stay in this cabin. We stayed 3 nights. There was no shower but we boiled the water out hosts had left for us and cleaned ourselves up twice a day like we do when we go camping. The view was amazing and we enjoyed every sunset with a cider or two. Lots of property to explore during the day. The cabin is pretty close to Cape Breton but a little to far to do the Cabot Trail in one day… we did do it but left the cabin at 11am and didn’t get back until 9pm and we were rushing. There was pretty much everything we needed as well. The cabin supplied all towels and blankets and cooking and eating things. We even cooked an entire Thanksgiving dinner! Would stay there again for sure! Thanks!

Cabin on Christmas Tree Farm
Peaceful stay on the farm
This cabin was fantastic! We had been camping in a tent for a week and this was an amazing place to recoup and enjoy the wood fired stove. Very private with great views all the way to the ocean.
