Secluded camping area next to the swimming hole on long creek. Very quiet and peaceful. Spend your evening relaxing or swimming. Picnic table is provided. No bathroom right now. It’s just a short walk down hill to the campground. (250 steps) It’s close to US National Whitewater center, Kings Mountain National Military park, and Crowders Mountain park. 3 miles off I-85 and US-321. Also check out my neighbors Hipcamp called the waterfallPitch you tent next the swimming hole on Long Creek where it’s quiet and peaceful, listening to the water running over the rocks. It’s about a.1/4 mile walk down hill from parking spot. (250)steps picnic table and fire ring is provided. 3 mile from I-85 and US-321. It’s about 15 to 20 mins drive to most stores. My family and I had a wonderful time at this site! Great swimming hole and fun for the kids, also very secluded as well. I would highly recommend visiting this lot.

Great little get away close to Char
Great little get away not far from Charlotte. Short 250 foot walk to the campsite. The water noise was very peaceful all night. I like how close it is, makes an after work trip possible.

Magical (and Mosquitoey)
This is a super convenient spot just a few miles off the interstate, but also very private and secluded. We loved jumping into the cold water after a long day of driving, and sleeping with the sound of the river gurgling next to the tent. The only drawback was the incredible amount of mosquitoes in the morning (they weren't noticeable at all when we arrived after dark and hung out by the river at night). We had planned on a morning by the river before hitting the road again, but packed in a hurry and got out of there quickly because the mosquitoes were so bad! Maybe that's just to be expected in August by a river in NC? Steve was super responsive to our last-minute booking, and got us information quickly about how to access the site. Awesome birthday experience!
Love this place! Would recommend to anyone! Beautiful water experience and private, quiet spot! Will definitely be booking again!

Highly recommend! Dog friendly!!
Great spot! Absolutely loved it. Super secluded, the swimming hole was beautiful and everyone loved it. Our dogs had a blast. Hope to be back!
