The Barlow RV is a boutique RV park located in the Western North Carolina mountains. Located near the quaint town of Banner Elk and the ski towns of Beech Mountain and Sugar Mountain, North Carolina. The Barlow is situated at an elevation of 3600 ft. with private walking trails up to 4000 ft. with views overlooking Beech Mountain and Hump Mountain.
We are a small but mighty RV park excited to bring you modern hospitality to your outdoor RV experience. Each site was uniquely designed with the lay of the land and unobstructed views of the mountain valley. We offer 4 spacious sites with full hookups and well appointed amenities. Each site offers plenty of privacy, great mountain valley views and areas to spread out and relax.
We treat our furry babies like our children and wanted our park to reflect their needs too. We have an off leash dog park for room to roam and 35 acres to explore on leash.
Cooking outside and enjoying your home away from home "outside" your RV was a high priority to us. Grilling in the privacy of your patio area or gathering with a fire pit and seating to hang out under the stars.
For those looking for some outdoor fun, relax under the trees in our "hammock village" which offers a variety of outdoor lounging.
We will be adding more sites and amenities as we grow, such as, an outdoor pickleball court. We want to make sure the needs of our guests and their stay at "The Barlow" is a memorable one.

Would recommend. Owners are terrific. The land itself is well done and their thoughtfulness and responsiveness is exceptional. They have a great attention to detail. The campsite was peaceful while we were there. Site 4 would currently be the most private. FYI-- Surrounding areas still very much recovering from the hurricane.
This RV park is a gem! Kim and Ripley have put a lot of care designing it and the result is 4 beautiful sites with an incredible view! Each site has chairs around a fire pit, a nice table and benches under a canopy and a great barbecue. The hosts even provide tools for the barbecue! We will be back, it is worth the 2 day drive!
The BarlowRV is my favorite campsite ever! I’ve been camping many years, at KOA’s, State Parks, Private Campgrounds and this place is my favorite. Kim and Ripley make it so easy. The property is all about nature, wildlife, and enjoying it all with great amenities. I hate to share about this place because it will make it harder for me to get in next time, once people find out about it.
The site was very NICE! The attention to detail is great, location is great, and Kim was great. We didn't get to meet face to face, but she was very responsive.
I spent four nights at Site #2. It was wonderful! Kim and Ripley have really thought of everything, even homemade dog treats on arrival! All of the sites are new and have good spacing between them. I really liked the location of #2 and I would definitely book it again. Easy access to Grandfather, Banner Elk, Sugar, Beech, and Roan. We hiked some of the AT along the Elk River and also around Carvers Gap. All paved roads to the property. No complaints at all.
An amazing property with an abundance of wildlife. Very quiet, and well appointed. Full hookups with plenty of water pressure. Centrally located to many points of interest. Owners very responsive & helpful. Don’t forget to get the farm fresh eggs from the farmer next door who was born in his house! Such a sweet site 😊
