A rocky creek winds through the woods at the base of several hikable peaks hidden just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Wildlife enthusiasts are encouraged to explore, on foot or mountain-bike, anywhere within our 170 acres (or the adjoining 250 acres owned by the US Forestry Service off our Western border) and are likely to catch glimpses of turkey, beaver, deer, fox, eastern box turtle and the many species of songbird and raptor. The location is convenient to tons of local attractions for sightseeing and outdoor activities as well as shopping, dining, even wine tasting. We would be happy to supply a comprehensive list of the various local attractions upon request but the following are a few of our favorite things to do within a short drive: visit Linville Falls, Caverns, Gorge and/or Winery; drive the Blue Ridge parkway; tube/kayak down the Catawba river; hike beautiful Crabtree Falls; cross Grandfather Mountains mile high bridge and explore the nearby towns of Spruce Pines or Little Switzerland. The scenic drives to Asheville, Blowing Rock or Banner Elk make them each wonderful day-trip destinations.

Beautiful and peaceful. Clear, easy instructions to access site. I felt safe camping there alone and would happily book here again when in the area again.

Recommend: excellent site.
This is an excellent and mostly private campsite. We were here mid-week and only saw another human when the camp host brought us firewood. Our campsite was clean and well maintained. The site consists of a firering, a tent pad (pea gravel) and a picnic table. The table is newer and in great shape. The bathroom is a portable toilet a short walk away which was very very clean and well maintained. The site is on a creekbank with easy access to the creek. Overall, this is an excellent site and service. Very much recommend.

Creekside Safari Tent
Neat experience
Creekside safari tent was a very unique camping experience. We had fun "tenting" without having to pitch a tent or sleep on the ground. The solar lights outside were a nice touch.

Sycamore Bend
Best camping experience!
We really enjoyed the spacious campsite, the sound of the creek, the beauty of being surrounded by nature. It was nice having the convenience of the fresh water close to the entrance and the very clean portable toilets. I highly recommend Staying on Blair's land if you want a real wilderness camping experience in a safe environment!

Creekside Safari Tent
My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at Blair’s Safari site. The view of the creek from the balcony was incredible. The tent was spacious, clean, and kept bugs out. We would definitely stay again!

Hilltop Safari Tent
I loved this area, very clean and peaceful. My family and I had a wonderful time together. Blair was a wonderful host and gave clear and direct instructions.
