Sweet little “A” on the river!
Loved the little “A” on the river! It’s super cozy-perfect winter camping spot for two! Steve was very welcoming and there are a lot of thoughtful touches to make your stay a comfortable one. Just bring food, water, wood, and your sleeping bag, and you’re all set! There is a tent site across the road right at the banks of the river, ideal if you have a larger party-rent both! Clean portajohn. Great hiking nearby at Mount Jefferson.

Tent camping on the NEW RIVER!!
Steve is a great host! He upgraded my tent spot to an A frame. He offered advice on things to do in the area. The a frame had everything we needed. Thanks

Tent camping on the NEW RIVER!!
This was a great place for short getaway for us. Steve thought of everything and he and his wife were so friendly! I would recommend staying here for sure and hope to be back soon. Also, downtown West Jefferson was a pleasant surprise. It was a really charming town with everything!

We had a fantastic stay. Such a beautiful location. The A frame is adorable and perfect shelter for when you need just a little more than a tent. We were able to charge our phones and use the lights while keeping dry from a passing rain, while still enjoying the sights and sounds of outdoors with the hatch propped open. The provided mattress is extremely small so we used our double size air mattress instead. It was a perfect fit. Wonderful location for near by hikes in the mountains or fishing and swimming right off your campsite. We will definitely be back to swim in the warmer months. Thank you for sharing your property with us!

Tent camping on the NEW RIVER!!
Stay at Tent Camping on New River.
Had a great 2 night stay at New River. The host Steve was very friendly and put me up in a cool little a-frame since it rained most of my stay. Still had a great time and recommend the area as it was very chill and comfortable.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay! Steve and Lesley were very quick to make sure we had everything we needed, including firewood and starter sticks! Ingenious design of the A-frame, and so great to sit on the hill and watch the beautiful wide river flow by. Really close to the super cool town of West Jefferson, but totally away from it all in the peace and quiet at the same time! Highly recommended!
