Our Spa is now available for booking! We are a constantly evolving location. Our goal is to provide a genuine secluded camping experience immersed in nature in a mountainous forest with privacy and well spaced out, secluded camp sites. We also have minimal light pollution, so our skies are beautiful for viewing the stars. We offer trails through natural wooded habitat with hidden gems of nature. Wildlife viewing throughout. There are feed locations to increase viewing opportunities. A creek on the property is lovely for walking. Centered between Charlotte and Asheville we are within your reach! We offer primitive tent camping, Glamping Tents and a Cabin. Glamping and cabin have a private Mountain View, fire pit area, Queen bed, Night Stand (built in phone charger), Desk area, interior and exterior lighting, heater and fan (powered by solar system). As a part of Starlight Hills Campground you have access to filtered drinking water, common overlook (w/ BBQ pits & picnic tables), trails, bathroom and showers. Welcome to bring all your furry family members ❤️. Please Note: 2 Wheel Dr. vehicles can access all of our sites. Gravel/ Dirt road up hill.

Another Excellent Experience

This was our second time staying at Starlight Hills Campground, and it was wonderful (again)! William has such a nice place! The spa was very cute. Very clean and an exceptional view! It would be a wonderfully romantic evening for any couples. We were there with our kids, and they loved it too. The shower, spa, and porta-potties were all very clean and web/spider-free. The overlook boasts some amazing views and is not a very long hike, although the upper portion is a little steep. We spent all of our time walking around and enjoying the beautiful woods on hus property. The mushrooms were INCREDIBLE. We saw dozens of different species, however William did say that this year was better than any other year he'd seen. There was a little doe that we saw a couple of times on the property. William is an exceptional host! The kids gift bags are a wonderful treat, and our kids loved them. We don't use the tiki torch package because we have our own, but he offers one, and it would be something that we would add on if we ever decided not to pack ours (or if we didn't have them). He brings wood up to the site (for a reasonable price) and the wood was quality wood that produced nice coals, for those wanting to cook in the fire pit. We will definitely be coming back!

Site 5 - Starlight Hills Campground

We loved camping at starlight hills! William was so friendly and accommodating. We arrived a little late for our spa reservation and he gladly extended it for us to have the full hour. He also allowed us to move to the overlook campsite since it was open for no charge. The grounds are so well maintained and the bathrooms were super clean. Amazing views from the spa and the campsite. We will definitely be back!!

Site 6 - Starlight Hills Campground

Site #6 stay

Site #6 is shaded and relatively level. Although a long walk or short drive, the showers are terrific but the bathrooms are porta-potties with no sink. Bring bottles for the fresh spring water. There’s a fire ring but no picnic table on site. The camp manager is so helpful and friendly. Don’t miss sunsets from the camp overlook. We also enjoyed day trips to a few local towns.

Site 5 - Starlight Hills Campground

Lovely Time

We really enjoyed our time here. Campsites are spaced out, the common area has a pretty view, the porta potties were clean, and the fire wood and purified water that were provided were great. Thank you!

Site 3 - Starlight Hills Campground

Super easy to find, campsites/glam sites where clearly marked. Restroom and showers also have clear signs that tell you where to go; both where very clean, outdoor shower is AMAZING after a long day. William was super helpful and friendly, gave me a quick run down of the place when I arrived. Also love that there are trails on the property, just wished that maybe bright trail markers where added through out to make it a bit easier to follow. The communal area has a gorgeous view! Would definitely recommend for those looking to immerse themselves in nature for a bit!

We had such a good time! The views from the picnic area are incredible. The land is beautiful with a nice hike on the premises. The sites are great. Our yurt was set up amazingly and very clean. The bathrooms were clean. The shower is really cool b/c it feels like you're are bathing in the woods but still private. The spa was also great!
