This land was once owned by Noah Hays himself. He was the main farmer on this land along with other farming land on this road. Hints the name "Noah Hays Road". We stopped farming this land long ago but some of his relatives are still farming on the land he use to farm on. You will see one of his old plots still being farmed across the street from our property. There is still the old cabin he use to live in along with an old curing barn they use to hang the tobacco in after harvest. Supper cool! Learn more about this land: This is a new listing. Nestled in the foothills of North Carolina is a majestic and peaceful plot of land that sits beside the south fork of the Mitchel River and; on the other side, a steep hillside of security covered in luscious wooded hardwood and pine. This is a great site to get away from it all. The site is setup nicely with the creek noise perfect for great star watching or putting you straight to sleep. No WiFi and barely any cell service makes it easy to just unplug. A nice fire ring, picnic table, and clean port-a-toilet makes staying here very comfortable. We will be back.

Great space and clean site. Very peaceful with the river flowing near the campsite. “Secluded” is a bit of an overstatement, the campsite is in between the road and the house, closer to the road. Not a busy road, but a few cars an hour pass by. Also, the hosts and/or their guests passed the site a few times. If you don’t mind people driving through the site, it’s perfect, but definitely would not say it’s secluded.

Great site
I think it was a great camp ground I would definitely go again super private river and camp site. It was not quite as far away from homes as I thought it would be it was right near a road where there was some very mild traffic. But it didn’t bother us we had a great stay and would definitely go back again!

A nice secluded spot by the water. I wished I was able to stay longer, but only needed a safe place to sleep for the night. The directions and landmarks to the property and site be better for after dark arrivals, as none were visible, leaving me second guessing myself as to whether I was at the right location. I saw them easily in daylight (except for the flag, which is greatly obscured by the trees).
