In 2018 we purchased this property to enjoy a little freedom, privacy and relaxation. We have slowly been updating the property over the years and in the end of 2019 we decided to create the site and share it with everyone. After beginning to camp ourselves, a year later. we realized that so many campgrounds resembled the HOA like atmosphere our guests want to escape. We then decided to start our own and we hope you enjoy it!Nestle your Camper (or campers) on the edge of Rose Creek in the Pisgah National Forest. Full hookups for one camper, 30amp power, water and sewer. Starlink internet is now available! (The extender cans be spotty at times.) Enjoy a campsite with the space to enjoy yourself and without the typical campground restrictions. Minutes away from the entrance to Table Rock and near popular attractions such as Linville Gorge, Wilson's Creek, Lake James, Brown Mountain Overlook and OHV. Come enjoy a unique RV/Camper get away spot. Tent camping is currently not permitted unless a camper or RV will be accompanying your stay since there are no restroom facilities. If you do have a camper, invite as many tent camping friends as you like! Just keep in mind they will have to use your restroom. Come relax by the creek and experience nature! We only have hook-ups for one camper but multiple are allowed, bring your friends! This campsite will only be shared with you and your guests. No need to check-in. Pull right onto the private drive from the dirt road. We recommend all campers to take the Fish Hatchery Road route for easier parking. If you have a camper longer than 24 feet this route will be required to make the turn into the campsite. A gravel/sanded campsite will comfortably fit a large camper or RV or two 24’ foot travel trailers strategically parked. If you plan to bring a second camper you can access 20 amp power and water with the splitter on the hydrant.

Rose Creek Retreat
I love it because I took my grandaughters and great grandaughters and the kids got to run around and discover nature without worrying about them distrubing other campers

Rose Creek Retreat
Pro/Cons
Pros: The children played in the creek for hours. The camping area is relatively flat. The access is easy and straightforward, no 4wd needed. The grassy lawn is pleasant and attractive. The town of Morganton (20 min) is lovely. Cons: The camping area is immediately off the road. Cars from the large RV camp ground next door (1/10 mile) zoom past round the clock at crazy speeds. While we were there there was no internet. We traveled to Walmart (because this is America, after all) and messaged the owner for help, but now of his suggestions worked. So, we were not able to use gps, research activities, or communicate with others in our group. Very buggy, lots of biting gnats.

Rose Creek Retreat
We took our 4 grands camping for the first time to Rose Creek. The creek and open area was a great place to keep the kids entertained. The site is quiet and peaceful. It’s a beautiful little spot. Thomas was very hospitable and a great host. We will definitely be back!
