Romantic
Recent Hipcampers say this Hipcamp is romantic.
Located adjacent to Pisgah National Forest you will not be disappointed with Pisgah Roots Yome. The terrain is certainly mountainous within our 9 acres. There is access to creeks and a small Koi pond. Secluded by rhododendron, trees and other natural forest growth. You can access hiking trails right from our property (this is fairly steep) or you are a short drive to Curtis creek, with hiking, fishing and the new G5 Trail Collective, Catabwa falls hike (Will re-open soon). So many other hiking trails located in Old Fort, Montreat, Marion. Lake James is also not far away.Pisgah Roots Yome is a primitive glamping spot. You will have access to a firepit and the spot is completely private from our home surrounded by Rhododendron and other vegetation. (Our property is mountainous) The large Koi Pond is near by and parking is very close to the site. There is lots to explore around the property it does eventually connect to Pisgah National forest. It is also close to a walkable non busy paved road. There is also be a very basic camp toilet. (Pictured) ** Basic bedding provided** Nearby attractions: Catabwa falls (currently closed) Toms creek (short waterfall hike) Hikes in Montreat, NC Point lookout, paved path. Kitsuma (mountain biking) G5 trails (mountain biking) Curtis creek (fishing, hiking and biking) Lake james (beach, hiking, biking and fishing) Asheville is 30 minutes away Old fort is 7 minutes away Black mountain 20 minutes away Marion 17 minutes away Morganton is 39 minutes away Closest food is in old fort. With a small grocery store (piggly wiggly)

Love love love
A beautiful off grid getaway! The yome is clean and roomy, plenty of room for the 3 of us (a big bed and an air mattress). We loved the firepit, the koi pond and the beautiful sound of the river - could be a problem for sensitive sleepers, but for us it was magical! We took a little walk at night to a trail behind the yome and saw lots of fireflies, so beautiful. Hope to be back!

I absolutely loved my visit! It was off the beaten path enough that I could feel I was in my own little world. There were several trails and several restaurants within a 20 minute drive. They were so kind, thought of so many little comforts and even wished me well before my 10k trail run. I can’t wait to come back soon with my granddaughter!

Molly yurt
Yurt had mold inside. Host's sister, kids and dog continuously came to our campsite unannounced. No privacy with a side of toxic mold, I'll pass on going back.

Cozy and Comfortable
I can't believe how cozy this setup was. The bed was so comfortable and the whole area felt so secluded. We will definitely recommend and look forward to staying here in the future
