Tai Chi Hill
What a lovely hidden gem. Jill and Fara’s are super responsive and their land is the perfect getaway near Asheville. Both Tai Chi Hill and Lijah’s Ridge provide the most beautiful sunset views, truly one of a kind!! Not everyday you get to camp next to horses!

Lijah’s Ridge
Overlanding Virgin's Dream
Lijah’s Ridge was everything I hoped and more! The view, morning, noon, and night, is stunning. The free-range horses + 150 yo black walnut tree were wonderful. This was my first trip in my overloading camper and I couldn't have asked for a better place to get off the beaten path while having the help and hospitality of Jill and Fara. We really enjoyed hiking around the property as well as Big Falls Trail at Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Lord willing, I'll be back!

Tai Chi Hill
The property is beautiful, the views from the camp site are breath taking. The 3 friendly horses were fun to have around as well.

Hiddenwood Camp
Beautiful Views
Beautiful campground! Jill is super friendly and helpful. We had some issues connecting due to delays with the app but once connected everything went great. We stayed in Hidden Woods and I would say this is probably the second best site on the grounds. It’s a small hike from the road and has one of the most flat areas for tents. I hammock so there were plenty of trees for me. You do have to go through a couple other sites to reach it. When we arrived another camper had covered the path to our site with a canopy( probably not realizing that there was another site beyond theirs). This was a bit inconvenient as they had 4 (sweet) dogs that they had to retrain any time we wanted to go in and out of our site. We also had to either walk under their canopy or skirt around it very close to the drop off. The other sites along the ridge had flat areas as well. Lijahs Ridge is probably the best site overall. Large and flat with a great view. The Tai Chi site has very few flat areas but has the BEST views.. You will need 4WD to get to these sites if you don’t want to hike up to them. I personally think this campground is best for car camping so suggest bring a 4WD or all wheel drive vehicle. There are 3 national parks all within an hours drive from camp and the small towns near by have cute restaurants if you don’t want camp food for a meal or two. We spent two very enjoyable nights here and spent most of the days in the national parks. We hiked Big Creek Trail in GSM national park.

Lijah’s Ridge
We had an amazing time staying at Lijah’s ridge. The views are incredible. We felt very secluded. The horses are very friendly. Sunsets and the stars are amazing.
