My farm had been untouched for years and only used as hay farming. It is rolling hills known by the locals as "Butterfly Hill" Which the farm is home to many species of butterflies in the summer. I know the area was inhabited by native Americans many decades ago. I have found a few broken arrow heads over the years. The farm is beautiful and quiet. I have a beautiful hiking trail around the property for you to take your fur babies on. The cabin is right on a beautiful stream too. There are several state parks nearby and river tubing within 10 -30 minutes. Hot showers and potable water just a few feet away. The cabin is set on a 28 acre hay farm beside a beautiful creek. The campsite has a fire pit, charcoal grill, and queen bed with sheets and comforter. You also have your own private privy located a 30 second walk from the cabin. You will have fabulous hot water out door showers with electricity to charge your phones while you shower. This is just a couple minutes walk from the cabin. Potable water is available at the shower facility. The Love Shack is in a wooded area that can be explored or just enjoy the relaxation of a quiet farm. There is a beautiful hiking trail that goes through the farm and the wooded area. The Love Shack is very private and secluded. There is hiking, tubing, paddling, and brewery's just a short drive. Rockingham and Stokes county has a lot of fun activities to offer as does the small town of Madison, NC. The Madison Dry Goods store is featured on the Netflix show "28 days haunted". It's worth checking out.Hanging rock state park is about 30 minutes away and Mayo River state park is 15 minutes away. There are 4 rivers in my county that you can kayak and tube. I offer a propane heater for winter. Bring your own fuel for the heater. It's the green small tanks 🙂 You can have wood at the site for an extra charge or you can forage for down wood in the area. Feel free to pick up and burn any wood that's not being used for the camp. Please no cigarette smoking in cabin. If you can't come without your kids there is plenty of room for a tent. Just let me know in your request. Also follow The Love Shack on Instagram @ mysticmeadowglamping. If you have any questions feel free to reach out!

Truly Magical!
This was such an amazing place and space! The land is absolutely stunning, the "Love Shack" was clean, comfortable and the way the roof opened up to the porch was epic. She left little snacks and plenty of resources to discover nearby, even though, I didn't want to leave this haven! The outhouse was surprisingly more pleasant than regular campground bathrooms. Mystic Meadows is truly a magical place to unplug and recharge. There are hiking trails and some games and a hammock. Wendy is an incredible host and I will be back many more times. Best birthday gift I ever gave myself! Thank you!

Very private. Babbling creek all night. Wonderful host that will engage or leave you be. Great spot for deep connection. Shower house close and convenient. It's the perfect spot of getting away and reconnecting all at once . 20 out of 10.

Peaceful perfection
If you need a place to relax and set your worries down, look now further. The Mystic Meadow Love Shack is perfect in all the ways. It's cozy, charming and quiet. The location is tucked away and beautiful, yet close to other areas to hike and explore if you feel inclined to do so. Lots of attention to detail and touches of whimsy. Wendy was a very welcoming and communicative host. As a solo female camper, I felt completely safe. It was a wonderful stay and I'm already planning when I can return.

This campsite was perfect for a rainy, winter weekend getaway. The views were gorgeous, and the site was so cozy. The heater did a wonderful job keeping the cabin warm. Wendy has thought of everything! There was not a single thing I would change; our stay was perfect.

We came to unplug for Christmas! The location was quiet, peaceful, and close to several state parks. The host left snacks and a cute Sasquatch ornament to remember our visit. The bed was comfortable, the outhouse was spotless, and there was a well-marked trail through the woods for a nice walk with the dog. It felt like a campsite someone created with a lot of thought and care. Highly recommended!
