Nice site
Really nice camp site. Takes the edge off of primitive camping. Cabin is very comfortable and having the shower and wash stations is really convenient. Good location with short access to hanging rock State Park. Very quiet

Marshall Creek Cabin
Perfect for first time campers
This little cabin in the woods was the perfect place to relax without have to spend time setting up a site. All the essentials are here including firewood, grill, camp stove (I used my own), dishes and utensils and a very comfy bed. My pup has the best time playing catch and the creek close by. Also, learned a few things about mushrooms and searching for different species. Highly recommend and will return.

Perfect Getaway!
The cabin was even better than I imagined! The property was beautiful and Darin is an amazing host. I will definitely be back when a tropical storm isnt rolling thru so we can explore the trails and enjoy everything else this gorgeous property has to offer. Thank you Darin and family!

Marshall Creek Cabin
This stay was SO incredible!! It’s like a personal woody oasis surrounded by tons of mushrooms and filled with all the amenities you can think!! Even a beautiful outdoor shower! I was planning on heading out very early in the morning on my one night stay and just had to stay longer to soak it all up. Would definitely come again and recommend to Friends and family :)

Where do I begin? This place is the best Hipcamp of all time and the the hosts are phenomenal.
The communication between Beth and Darin is next level. (We now call them Dareth now.)
They greeted us when we arrived and escorted us to the site. (It is secluded from everything so this is important or you could get lost or stuck.)
The cabin is truly private and stocked with everything you could think of. Its like they were reading my mind. I hardly had to unpack anything. He even had logs cut, stacked, and ready to be split.
The shower, outhouse, and craftsmanship of the cabin is superb.
And why was the bed so comfortable?
Completely unnecessary and sooo appreciated.
We were there for a meteor shower and Im shocked at how well we could see the night sky.
No light pollution so the stars really come through.
Even with the well protected tree canopy.
We napped in the chairs around the best fire pit of all time.
There are 2 picnic tables! So you can eat and have a work or storage table.
The grill is just an added bonus and our food was delicious due to basically having and outdoor kitchen with an ingenious wash station.
The amount of trails on the property is great for some foraging or light exercise.
Not to mention all of this is a stones throw from Hanging Rock State Park and near the Dan River.
I'll wrap this up now, but let me say this.
I'm sharing this w/ u with the hopes that when you visit you will leave this place better than you found it.
I definitely intend to return.

Marshall Creek Cabin
The property is gorgeous and the cabin is very private and out of the way. Truly an off grid escape but very comfortable. The creek side trail is awesome and our dog had a great time exploring. Hosts were very nice, crazy close to hanging rock park, definitely would return.
