I have been advised to adjust any large groups wanting to come. Some have taken advantage of the situation. So therefore, I am requiring that for any large groups. You will need to basically need to rent two sites. Another change I am making is. Campers will be allowed to park two vehicles at their site. Any other vehicles will have to park in the overflow parking lot. On the way coming in.

Our third time visiting John’s place and we simply love it. And guess what? We will come back again soon! This is definitely one of our favorite spots to disconnect from the daily routine!

Such a blessing
The property was beautiful, peaceful, quiet and we had fun in the creek. We really appreciate John. He was very helpful, selfless and caring. We felt free there and the whole family enjoyed it. Highly recommended.

Slab rock
Beautiful property..
John was a wonderful host, very attentive to the needs of us camping on his property, which was beautifully nestled deep in the woods away from any traffic noise !!! The New River had ample areas for just hanging out, (especially the slab rocks) walking along the rivers edge for the most part was very easy, the River also had some deeper parts in the center. The water was not to cold to wade without waders. Plenty of privacy and amazing views. Slab Rock was my first experience on his property and def won’t be the last !!! Thank you John for a wonderful weekend

Cardinal River run
Great spot. Plenty of space along the South Fork New River. Sites are spread out, with plenty of room on each one. Host was amazing and gave us a great tour of everything around his sites. Look forward to coming back!

Slab rock
We loved it!
If you are wanting a private site with great river access and awesome hosts—this is your place! Tubing, fishing, and a big field to play in. It was one of the best Hip Camp spots we have been to and we hope to return soon.

Deer run river site
Private spot right on the New River. The host was great, we were able to purchase farm fresh eggs & firewood and it was all delivered straight to the site! We had a blast with our dogs swimming & wadding in the river. Hope to be back soon!
