Camping with our Dog!
This is a beautiful property conveniently located close to quaint historical downtown Waxhaw. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed local activities and businesses close by. We hiked the Carolina thread trail, enjoyed coffee at the Crossroads coffee house, ate a delicious lunch at Provisions, walked around the cute downtown and visited some of the stores. Our last night we enjoyed a wine tasting and dinner at cork and ale. Then finished the evening off at Dreamchasers brewery. All that to say that there are plenty of businesses close by! but you could also enjoy the quiet property at your campsite which was lovely as well. Our adult children live in Marvin about 15 minutes away. They came over for dinner our first night and the site we picked had enough space for their cars. This was our first real camping trip in our RV and we also brought the dogs for their first camping trip. The space worked out perfect. Marcel was so helpful to me upon arrival. And later he and his wife Carmen brought us fresh baked bread that just melted in your mouth. Delicious! This is a great option for a waxhaw getaway!

10. Upper Private Meadow
Amazing Spot to Camp with Your Pets
There are just not enough nice things I can say about my stay here at Creekside. I arrived late and asked for help and Marcel made sure all my needs were met! He wanted to make sure I had everything I needed and was always available by phone or text. The spot he recommended for my tent was soooo lovely and serene! Both private but not far from other campers. My dog (and cat) felt quite comfortable on the property - I had the pleasure of walking her on some trails off leash every morning and evening and I had the pleasure of socializing with other campers who were like minded and loved animals as much as I do! I felt quite at home and very immersed in nature - I love that it was in Waxhaw as it was close enough to my family or amenities I needed! This place is a gem and I would happily return!!

1 King Meadow View
I was a bit skeptical that I’d be able to make the approach into site 1 with our 40’ class A motor home, but with a little jockeying it was easy enough (yes, it’s a pull through!) and the power and water worked flawlessly. Nice view of the small meadow with an occasional visit from a cute cat and two massive (and friendly) dobermans. The host’s warm bread made a great tomato sandwich after we picked up some German pink tomatoes from the market. Easy to get to Waxaw and less than an hour from central Charlotte. We’ll be back!

A Restful Retreat
We had an AMAZING stay at this sweet little property. If you are looking for a rustic, quiet getaway… this is the place for you! The campsites are well maintained and beautiful. Everything is updated and easy to access. Marcel is an awesome host and made sure we had everything we needed for a quiet weekend. We really enjoyed hiking the trails and catching tadpoles in the stream. I highly recommend paying this cute camp in the woods a visit!
