Amazing spot with great owners... its on sand so bring pads... had an amazing time with the close proximity to many places (coinjock marina prime rib!) And 20min to OBX!!! No pass needed to drive the sand during off season, but air down!!!!! Will be back when possible so keep an eye on booking! Bring kayaks or paddleboards, small boats can launch nearby... Barry's is a local favorite with rooms to rent if necessary... gas and grocery only blocks away if needed... We love this spot!

Breezy sandy paradise!
Awesome does not describe this site!! Quiet and convenient. The breeze off the Sound lulls you to stay longer. Host provides grills, fire pit and a kayak. Not to mention Valet trash service!!!!
If it could even get better, Barry’s Bar is a restaurant right at you door. Juicy peel and eat shrimp.

FHU, but sewer not accessible
This HipCamp has so much potential…quiet planned RV neighborhood. It’s a HUGE waterfront canal lot that could easily accommodate three 40’ RVs and is only half a block from Barco Bay on the Currituck Sound. The site is mostly level consisting of 90% sand. The host’s RV is parked right next to the FHUs…water is in the front less than 3’ from the street, sewer is 10’ from street and 30 & 20 amp electric in the middle. Depending on how close you park to host RV, 30’ of electric and water hose worked for us as our electric is in the rear and water in the front of our rig. We tried sewer hookup with 40’ of hose as our hookup is in the rear. Hose will reach running it under host RV, but not enough fall to properly dump. Host’s RV is a low clearance Intech making lifting the sewage hose for fall impossible. Luckily we only stayed a long weekend and just dumped while leaving. The host, Claudine, did forewarn us of where their RV was parked, but communication on the inaccessibility of FHUs were not conveyed. We did suggest a perfect spot where they should move their RV, but the host’s husband seams reluctant to move it. We hope they do move their RV as we would love to stay here again, but will not be bringing our honey pot when paying for FHUs.

It's huge!
This lot is huge! Would easily accommodate a large family with several kids & a dog or 2. This trailer is only 23' but our toy hauler would have fit no problem. The host was so helpful & kind. You're right on the water with ready access to kayak out to the sound, which we didn't do this trip but if we had more time that would have been really cool! The owner has great plans for some improvements to the property, like a pergola for shade & planting grass, both will be awesome additions. We were happy the lot is very level and solid, could have parked anywhere on the site with a long enough electric cords extension. The hookups are behind their trailer, which permanently sits on the property. We have a water bladder to fill our tank without remaining hooked up to the water supply & a turd wagon for dumping so neither of those things mattered to us but it's something to be aware of & the host made certain I knew all those details prior to accepting our booking, which I greatly appreciate! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the neighborhood is quiet, clean & low traffic. There's a great restaurant half a block away. Grocery, gas, misc stores all very close if you forget the ketchup or whatever. I would absolutely consider coming back here if in this area again!
