My wife, 6 month old daughter, and I stayed in one of Kevin’s cabins for 6 days. I don’t believe there’s another stay around the area where you can experience relaxation and privacy on this level. Do not be mistaken, your cabin will be secluded in the mountains around elev 2500’. My wife and I were over prepared as far as supplies, food etc. Another plus for us was the convenient location of the cabin. Everything you’d want to hike around 1 hour or less. The trail Kevin has created on site was a bit overgrown but we took a more friendly walk to the top of the property. Very novice compared to the other hikes we did during the trip but pretty cool none the less. We even saw a pretty large white tail Buck when we got to the top! Keep in mind that there are a few general store ‘mom and pop’ shops within the area. One dollar store approximately 15 mins away. But as far as big box pharmacies and stores like Walmart it is not a little drive down the street. Lots of curling roads that will have some city drivers sketched out. The hot tub stayed warm and it was so enjoyable after a long day of hiking to look up at the stars and soak. The last thing I will say is Kevin was a gracious host. Our first night there he briefly came to make sure my wife and I were settling in nicely. He even brought us a few pieces of firewood and firestarters. This came quite handy because I cooked all our meals over the fire pit which was equipped with a grate. I really didn’t want to leave!

Mother Daughter weekend with Dogs
We had a wonderful time. The cabin was darling, clean and well appointed. The site was very pet friendly, sorry we probably let some dog hair behind. The hike up to the top of Mt. well worth it, the views were amazing. Kevin was very pleasant and kind. Would highly recommend and will definitely return in the future. Plus, the hot tub was awesome!

This is such a cute little place! It was nice and clean when we arrived. We loved the hot tub and the fire pit and also the little hike that was onsite. My fur babies enjoyed their time with us outside.
There were a few cons, but nothing major. There were a lot of gnats inside the house during our stay. Maybe provide a fly swatter in the house? And the water pressure was not good in the shower and bathroom sink.

The location of the property was ideal for people who want to get away from the busy city life and allow yourself to immerse in nature. The attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed i.e. frother, makeup wipes, face masks, scented candles. The private hot tub after a long day of hiking was a huge plus at the end of the day. Very clean and spacious! We utilized the fire pit with the (complimentary wood) which was appreciated! If you do use it, be careful, we discovered a couple of wasps nests hidden in the cinderblocks and the fire word. Obviously not anyone’s fault as it is nature, but just a caution! It didn’t stop us from it, haha.
Keep in mind that there is no stove top, but the 12in1 came in handy as well as cooking over the fire, where we cooking AMAZING steaks on. All in all highly recommend.

Really enjoyed my time here. Very quiet and peaceful. Hiked during the day and would come back to enjoy the evening views in the hot tub. Kevin was also a great host and very informative.
