Cool, retro Gulf Stream Vintage Cruiser camper in a superb end of the road location in Boone with a fire pit, small pond and trampoline. The kitchen has a stove, microwave, refrigerator and coffee pot. Bear in mind it is a camper with a traditional rv toilet that can potentially have odors. We do not offer A/C but offer a fan and the camper does have heat for the winter. Please note that in very cold winter temps the water to the camper may be turned off so that it doesn’t freeze. You will still be able to use the toilet. Close to Boone and Blowing Rock, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Appalachian State University, Tweetsie Railroad, Rocky Knob mountain bike park, skiing, rafting, hiking, climbing and mountain biking. We also have a log mountain home that can be rented to add more space. Please note that we have kids, dogs and cats as well as lots of wildlife including deer, foxes, coyotes and the occasional bear. Also, we are at the end of the road in the woods. The driveway is gravel and has some potholes due to recent floods. Not ideal for sports cars with low clearance. We do not charge cleaning fees so please clean up after your stay. There are extra guest fees if over two people. Please note there is not a key but you can lock the camper while you are inside.

Linens, towels and paper products are provided. The camper has a coffee maker, stove and microwave. Cleaners and dishwashing supplies are under the sink. The camper is brand new- please be gentle with her! We will show you how to work everything, if needed.
There is a queen size bed and two bunk beds. We leave the queen bed folded down- please leave it down. Please do not alter the dinette. There is hot water- if you don't have any, please let us know. The water heater is small so please keep showers brief. Towels and washcloths are under the sink. Please note that we don't offer A/C- but we do provide a fan. The heat is a propane furnace. The thermostat is on the wall next to the tv. Push the top lever away from the tv to turn on the unit. The temp is controlled with the bottom lever. Please leave on low or turn off if you are out and please turn off when you check out. There is a Bluetooth enabled radio with speakers inside and outside the camper.
Check in/ out is flexible if there aren't other guests leaving or arriving. Breakfast is not included. There's a $10 charge for firewood, if available, or you can bring your own.
If booking in the winter, there is a possibility of the water freezing. You will still be able to use the toilet but not the sink or shower. We do not offer refunds if the water is frozen.
Also, it is an RV and as such, can have odors occasionally. We do use RV deodorizer to minimize any issues. Also, we have dogs and kids that can be noisy.
We have a two night minimum on weekends and holidays but can be flexible on short notice.
I restore VW vans and Land Rovers so you will see those in the drive.Rad, retro (but brand new!) Vintage Cruiser 26' camper with a fire pit in a super private, end of the road setting right in Boone.
