My property consists of a ridge running east to west with the access road running along the south border. the land slopes up to the ridge for about 300 feet, and then down to the river for about 800 feet. The south side of the ridge has a small pond close to the road. The rest is pasture, and an orchard and small vineyard. The north side of the ridge is old growth timber, and shady and cool. The two cabins are along the river. One is perched on a ridge over looking the river and the other is right on the river. The swimming hole is 30 feet from the lower cabin. There is room for a couple campsites along the river also.
The south side of the ridge was a cotton farm decades ago, but was covered in timber when I bought it 12 years ago. The north side has been in timber for the known history of the property.I have 1 cabin on the First Broad river. The river is from 30 to 40' across, waist deep or less. It is a mountain stream that is mostly rocky with a lot of small rapids. There is a nice swimming hole right at the cabin. The river is good to tube but slightly to shallow to kayak or canoe without a lot of portaging. It has brim, catfish, and smallmouth bass. There is a state gamelands across the river that has an access point a few miles by road. South Mtn state park is about 10 miles away. The cabin is 20' from the river. There is gold in the river if you know how to pan. For the cold season there will be a $5 daily charge if you want heat.

We love being right on the water of the Broad River, secluded in the forest. We had such an amazin and relaxing time.

Beautiful land
With kids
Adin’s property is lovely. I loved sitting on the porch reading and watching the river. The hill is a bit steep but I made it down with a lower car just fine once I had the hang of it. The path to the river is also a little steep so if you have mobility issues just be careful. The sleeping arrangements worked well for us and the bathroom is convenient but very small and kind of smelled of urine. Overall it’s nice to have these amenities you don’t have tent camping and the river is so beautiful it’s the star of the place. We hope to return next summer

Adin's cabin is a wonderful place to rest and relax. It was very quiet and peaceful. The cabin had everything I needed and was clean. Adin was kind and helpful. I will definitely be back!

This was my first experience with hip camp. Adin's cabin was just as we expected. It was tiny but worked just fine for my family of 3 and 2 dogs. We spent most of our time outside enjoying the area. Adin is a great host-we will be back.

Adin was very friendly, reaching out for an ETA the day before to ensure he was there to greet us. Then while I was cooking breakfast he had walked down and helped the kids find some wood for the fire. The cabin exceeded expectations and the kids loved being able to watch VHS tapes, complete nostalgia. We were able to eat breakfast at the main level label, and dinner on the lower bar level.
