55 Acres of Mountain land nestled in the Catskill Forest LESS THAN 2 HOURS from NYC ! Best suited for a Young couple or a Maximum of 4 who enjoy the outdoors and want to explore the wilderness with many local hiking trails nearby. You should appreciate Forest Bathing known as Shinrin-Yoku in Japanese which is the Therapeutic practice that involves spending time in nature to relax and connect with the environment through your senses. It helps improve Healthand Well-being. Grounding or Earthing which was just on Good Day New York in NYC explains the benefits of walking Barefoot on the Earth..Grass and Moss up here at the cabin. The terrain can be uneven and the stairs going upstairs to the bedrooms are a little steep so this is not recommended for the elderly or people with limited mobilty or balance. Near the Once Famous and Historic NEVELE Hotel which you can see from the top of the mountain! Former Presidents and Comedians have all been there. YOU TUBE it !!! The Hot water is limited because this is a cabin in the woods with its own Hot water tank. It is not hooked up to a Municipal water supply system with unlimited Hot water. You need to let the water Heat up again in the Tank for more hot water if multiple people are taking showers around the same time. During or right after a NorthEast Tropical Storm or Severe weather the power can go out. It will go back on !! Take advantage of the many Candles, Lantern and Board Games to play! Grind up some fresh Starbucks Reserve Coffee Beans. Condiments and Spices are also included. The cabin has its own Underground water well that goes 180 ft below the ground to pump up fresh, clean, Naturally purified chemical free Spring catskill water. Your hair and skin will feel soft and clean. You DO NOT NEED to BUY Bottle WATER. Save our environment and dont BUY plastic water bottles. Just let the water Run for a minute so it is nice and cold. Pefect cabin camping weekend

This family of 4 enjoyed a perfect fall weekend at Victor’s cabin! The grounds are beautiful — the girls made froggie friends in the little stream, dad built a fire at every opportunity, mom dozed in the hammock looking up at tall trees and falling autumn leaves. Inside is cozy and homey, with many welcoming gestures throughout. Our 6yo rated Victor’s cabin as her favorite weekend house ever! (Second to grandma’s, we presume) We had a fabulous time and will return for sure.

It was a great stay at the Wurtsboro Ridge Retreat. Everything was as presented and pictured. The property is beautiful. Just bear in mind you are not totally isolated here. All the amenities were exceptional, for an off grid cabin, in the woods! As it is a cabin in the woods, there are still bugs present. As well as other wildlife. As long as you have an understanding of the technology, you can figure out the set up upstairs. Gerard was responsive and courteous. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Great weekend escape

Our 2nd great stay here. Perfect for a weekend getaway from the city. We really appreciate the idyllic location in the woods, the peace and quiet, the lovely huge garden and all the thoughtful things that are in the cabin to make your stay easy.

Beautiful Deer/Comfortable Home

The house is a small comfortable home inside with full kitchen, bath, couch, WiFi and Direct TV for those rainy stay inside days. Attic like bedroom has 4 beds that are very comfortable. It is a steep stairways so I would not recommend for those who have mobility issues but we are over 60 and had no issues. Bedroom A/C kept it cool for us to sleep after exhausting days. Outside has a lot of features as well, hot tub, plenty of chairs, hammock, fire pit, games and best of all QUIET. Drive slow coming and going as we see beautiful deer daily and every where. One day there were 3 at our front door after returning from town.

This place just perfect! Your own piece of paradise in the forest! The reviews are all correct, this place literally has everything! All you need to bring is your clothes and food! The hot tub is amazing, the fire pit is memorizing, the stars at night are breathtaking! The cabin itself is secluded offering you the privacy and ambiance of a perfect cabin getaway! The Cabin has all the modern amenities to keep you entertained and comfortable while you relax in your own forest paradise. Everything from the grill, hot tub, outdoor fire pit, the hammock, volleyball net, outdoor shower, outdoor seating, to the indoor shower, comfy beds, surround sound tv with all streaming options, to the cookware, stove, Starbucks coffee station refrigerator/freezer with all cooking amenities and condiments. He literally has thought of everything. Forgot bug spray, he has it, forgot body wash/shampoo, he has it, forgot citronella candles, he has it, the list goes on and on. He provides firewood for the outdoor fire pit, matches, etc. I can’t speak highly enough about this location and the wonderful job the host has done! He is readily available if you need anything throughout your stay! We chose this location for the privacy and proximity to all the hiking trails, waterfalls, etc. We couldn’t have picked a more perfect spot to celebrate our 5 year anniversary on Memorial Day weekend! It was so perfect that we got engaged! Definitely will be returning for future trips!

With pets

The cabin was easy to find, very clean, and the most welcoming and cozy place that we have stayed. Everything is thought of, I was over prepared with the supplies we brought, everything was already there. Victor was very kind, and fast in responding to messages and even a quick call at check in. The book he has left is so very helpful. We loved playing music from our phones, having dinner at night, and relaxing on the patio at night. We enjoyed a movie on Sunday afternoon and were so comfy, we dozed off. Thank you Victor for a nice weekend. We would love to come back soon. Keke & Johnny
