Whatever Floats Your Boat
A gorgeous and secluded property
Such a beautiful property! We truly felt secluded and isolated during our weekend here. There was plenty of space to explore and such amazing scenery all around. A short walk along the creek took us to two magnificent waterfalls. This was a perfect place to truly unplug from society and recharge. It was super quiet and all we heard was the sound of the creek and wildlife. It was such a peaceful, magical piece of land. We enjoyed having a fire right along the sound of the creek. As for the cabin itself, it had everything we needed. Heat worked well. The generator was easy to control. There’s a full stove/oven as well as a microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. There was plenty of dishware and utensils for any cooking needs. There was plenty of drinking water and washing water available. There were two tables and plenty of bed space, great for large groups. The cabin and surrounding property was well-kept and maintained. The host provided a lot of information and was available for any questions/concerns. The property was easy to find, we had no trouble locating the place. I highly recommend this spot to anybody looking for a relaxing, secluded, and isolated getaway.

Cozy cabin campfire night
I drove up with friends from the Philly area to see the 2024 solar eclipse. In one word: serene. Aaron’s plot was an amazing place to stay. The view of the stars alone made the trip worth it. The cabin was rustic, well-built, and stocked with essential cookware. The wall propane heater kept us warm in freezing temperatures. The generator gave us access to electricity, so we could stay charged. Aaron left plenty of firewood and fuel. You won’t get great cell service in the cabin, but that just means your friends and family will have your full attention. Catch the stars while you feed logs to the campfire and listen to the running water of the nearby stream. My only regret is that I didn’t bring an acoustic guitar.

Perfect🥰
Everything you need for a weekend and plenty of fuel for generator and heat. Very impressed with the thought that went into that. Lots of fire wood for my winter trip. Trails are near if you chose to adventure further just do some research ahead of time.

We had a great stay at the cabin. We enjoyed making a fire, walking the woods, and finding fossils along the creek bed. Aaron was very helpful and informative prior to our stay. It was our son’s 5th birthday and Aaron left him a small gift, which of course our son enjoyed as it made him feel quite special. We look forward to returning.

Whatever Floats Your Boat
This property floats my boat!
Solitude. Quiet. Cozy cabin. Dark skies. Fossil hunting in the creek. Waterfall on the property. Fall foliage. This place had it all and then some! The cabin was clean, stayed warm even on the lowest setting from the propane heater, was stocked with everything (i.e. pots/pans, toaster, utensils, plenty of chairs, games, etc.) you would need, ton of windows providing views of the forest around you, multiple beds, and charming rustic decor. Outside you had dark skies (easily a 3 or 4 on the Bortle scale for any night time enthusiasts), plenty of forest, a creek running from the small waterfall at the top of the property down past cabin providing the ambient sounds of the babbling water and fossils galore (I found 3-4 large fossils of aquatic creatures and shells on the first few flips of rocks), a steep but nice walking trail behind, plenty of firewood for the fire pit, and forest all around you. Aaron the owner was friendly, informative and knowledgeable on things to do in the immediate area, replied right away to any questions I had, and couldn’t have been a better host. Minutes from Ithaca and multiple state parks it makes a great home base to go see the multitude of waterfalls (Taughannock, Lucifer, Cascadilla, etc.) in and around that area, miles of beautiful trails (Lick Brook Falls), and plenty of kayaking opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts like myself. Will definitely stay here again on return trips!
