Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
A great spot to privately retreat and relax to or from Canada (or anywhere else!) This property has been in my family for four generations. Nature reigns supreme here! Air so clean and sweet you’ll wish your lungs were bigger. If recreation is your thing the area has local fishing, hunting, 8 state parks and more. Local farmers market is 20 minutes away. A true retreat from Hussle and bustle. Stargazing at its finest. About an hour south of Watertown and about an hour north of Utica. Salmon River in Pulaski is about an hour away. . The property itself is entirely groomed with plenty of room to spread out. Neighbors are a good distance away for the most part — but healthy walk when you need them —friendly and helpful. This is approximately 3 acres of groomed open land with a few structures and trees in the corners. This is a spot to go to to relax and enjoy Nature and all it has to offer. Nestled in the foothills of the Adirondacks, state parks are close by as well as county fairs for Oneida and Lewis Counties. There are field days for Boonville and Constableville. Lowville (20 minutes away) offers the states finest cheese in my opinion. You won’t find better local ice cream anywhere else then around here. Old Forge is about 45 minutes away and Watertown about an hour. There is a local water park And plenty of local hiking. Also lots of four wheeling and antiquing are enjoyed by the locals. Delta Lake and Delta Lake Falls nearby. Transfer site right down the road 2 miles to the west of site!

Tug Hill Sanctuary
A Sanctuary of beauty awaits!
This was not our original destination, but when our plans need to suddenly change, it was Doreen to the rescue! Even with limited cell reception we were able to "Instant Book" Doreen:s Tug Hill Sanctuary and she immediately responded to our inquiries. Not only did she help us find our way to the perfect landing spot, she also made great suggestions as to nearby attractions and seasonal opportunities. A+ hosting, thank you, Doreen! Upon arrival we noticed her well-placed cell phone signal booster provided us with a solid Verizon signal so we could use our phones and our Internet hotspot. Because the ground is still soft from a long winter and rainy spring, we opted to park our 21' self-contained camper in the large front driveway area. Plenty of room for our screen house, which helped keep the annoyance of flying insects to a minimum. The singing of the Coydogs lulled us off to sleep and we woke to a gorgeous sunrise, sweetly chirping birds and the sweet smell of fragrant lilacs. The Tug Hill Sanctuary lives up to it's name; safety and rest surrounded by peace and beauty! Recommended A++

Doreen's place was quiet and scenic and we got to park on a paved driveway. The location is close to state parks and small towns. A great central location to go exploring and the price is fantastic. Would definitely stay again

Our host was very polite and was great to deal with when booking. The location was easy to access and is a quiet rural area. We explored several nearby state parks and towns.

Quiet and nice view
We reserved a spot here so we had a place to camp out during the day of the solar eclipse. It was very quiet with a great view. We didn’t stay overnight but I imagine the stars on a clear night would be amazing! Be prepared to be self sufficient. The neighbor stopped by to check on us to make sure we were all set. Besides that we were undisturbed. Easy to find and close to a lot of hiking, etc. Can recommend!
