A romantic Catskills getaway for two or a quiet countryside retreat for a lone traveller, our Wind In The Willows tent will offer you a peaceful, comfortable stay in the nature of the Northwest Catskills. Located up a quiet dirt road, you can spend your day relaxing with a book in the hammock in between dips into our private spring-fed pond, or perusing the local farmers markets and boutiques. End your day with a campfire and star gazing while the fireflies light up the meadow below you. ### The Tent - The tent comes equipped with a twin bed, a small woodstove and electricity for charging devices and nighttime lighting. - Linens and towels are provided and extra bedding will be available for cold nights. - The tent is supplied with a small camp kitchen, including a single burner propane stove and fuel, with basic cookware and crokery, and a 45 litre cooler for storing food and provisions. - There is a ceramic-filter water dispenser at the tent for drinking water. - Additional water and washing supplies are provided for dishes. ### Washing Facilities - Around the back of the tent is a private outhouse with a modern composting toilet, outfitted with basic sanitation supplies. - Additional water is provided for washing hands and dishes - There is currently no facility for a shower, but bathing in the pond is encouraged! ### The Area - Located up a quiet valley off of the beautiful West Branch of the Delware River, you will be perfectly located to explore the exciting shops, restaurants, bars and farmers markets of Delhi and Stamford, both a short drive away. - We are also a 5 minute drive from Hobart, the 'Book Village' of the Catskills, with 7 bookshops. - A car is required to get around the area and to the site. ### The Land The Tent is located beside the pond in the lower portion of our land, affording you privacy. We live up the hill, on the other side of the woodland, and may be around during the day but will give you space to enjoy the surroundings. ### About Us We're Hannah and Joe and Marcy - we mostly live in a small off grid cabin on the other side of the woods from where the tent is located. It's likely we will be available during your stay to help with any advice or to provide any additional supplies you might need. If not we will make sure everything is extra well appointed before your arrival.

    Me and my boyfriend enjoyed our stay very much. The site was very private and the host was so nice. You could see a whole sky of stars at nightfall and the pond was so refreshing. Watching the fish and frogs swim by was fun.

    Great place for a peaceful time!
    I loved the experience! This place is beautiful and perfect to experience the quite nature. The pond was perfect to take a dip! Joe was very polite and helpful, he had great communication with me! The tent had everything I needed. 100% recommended!

    Super quiet site.
    My girlfriend and I, along with our dog just recently spent two nights at this wonderful site. We've been to dozens of hipcamps around this area and this might be one of our new favorites. The tent is comfortable, clean and the hosts provide just about everything you will need besides food and clothing. The tent is back up on a hill off the main driveway. My Subaru had no problem getting to the site. A smaller, very low to the ground car might have a tougher time. Even if you had to park at the bottle off the hill it's not much of a walk to the tent at all. Maybe 100 yards or so? The site was very private and incredibly quiet. We may have heard less than a dozen cars and the occasional farm equipment the whole time we were there. The site overlooks a tiny little pond with a nice dock for sitting on. Or laying on. Or jumping off of. Whatever you wanna do, the dock has you covered. There's a clean, actually rather nice outhouse yards from the site. It has some open windows covered in nice shades, so you still get privacy but with less outhouse stink. Nice. It's a short drive into Hobart and Stamford. Both are great tiny towns. You can grab a bite to eat, ice, drinks or anything else you may have forgotten to pack. We all enjoyed ourselves very much and I definitely recommend this place. My dog said it was the best weekend of his life. Will definitely be back.

    Peaceful retreat
    We had a lovely stay in the tent. Morning dip in the pond was definitely a highlight! Joe and Hannah were very helpful. Looking forward to another stay!
