The Little Witch Cottage is a rustic charming cottage from 1929 with timber framing and Catskill blue stone flooring. It sits in the middle of our yard about 200 feet from our more modern home. We have about 9 acres set back from the road. The cottage has a queen sized bed, dining table, and small kitchenette. The kitchenette has a mini fridge, dishes, and an induction stove top. We recently wired this vintage beauty to run on solar power and has an outhouse with a composting toilet, sink, and heated outdoor shower. Outside the cottage is a small garden, picnic table, fire pit, and chairs. Our land is mostly sloped fields that we are slowly turning into meadows full of native flowers and plants. There are mowed paths through the tall grass. This is perfect glamping spot, a mixture of comfort and nature. We are close to Catskill, NY and surrounded with a mix of beautiful nature and small town fun.The Witch Cottage is rustic one room post and beam cottage built in 1929. It has its original built ins and blue stone floor. We have added modern touches like solar power electricity and an outhouse with heated water. The outhouse has a composting toilet and an outdoor shower. The cottage is nested in the center of our land. From the cottage you overlook our main gardens, a flower meadow, and woods. There is a sloped meadow full of grasses and flowers with mowed paths if you want to explore. We are active gardeners that practice permaculture. There are flower, herb and veggie gardens. You will see us out in there tending the beds and available to give you a tour of the gardens. We are also in the process of rewilding the meadows by planting native plants. This attracts a wonderful amount of butterflies and birds. Like any good country home there is a couple of barn cats that wander around. We love our place because it is so peaceful. We work from home so we are around but give our guests plenty of space but are available if you have questions. We are located close to Cairo, Catskill, Hunter, and Hudson. This area offers the perfect mixture of stunning nature, small town charm, rich history, and art. This is a LGBT friendly spot!

Quaint mountain cottage

Such a quaint place to stay for a night while I was traveling in New York. Something right out of a fairy tale! Loved the indoor fireplace with coals started by the host and plenty of firewood and kindling. After camping earlier in my trip, I appreciated the internet, cell service, and electricity. Comfy bed and the kitchen had all I needed for my short stay. Caitlin greeted me upon arrival and showed me around. Appreciated the detailed messages about things to do in the nearby towns. Beautiful grounds with a great view of the mountains! ☀️

The cottage was a nice spot for a weekend getaway. It’s close to a grocery store and neighboring Catskills goodness. The property sits up on a hill and the cottage, although close to the primary residence, feels private. The host sells wood for the outdoor fire pit and indoor fireplace. Bedding/pillows, dishes and cookware, and spices were provided. Overall, a fun spot to spend the weekend.

Perfect escape

This spot is even dreamier and cozier in person, if you can believe it! I loved that it felt tucked away and yet was close to all of the sights and attractions Hudson Valley has to offer. Caitlin rose was sooo accommodating and a truly wonderful, low key host. The composting toilet and outdoor shower were spotless and the water was warm. Even the sweet little cat who lives on the property was warm and inviting. Can’t recommend this spot enough! I’ll definitely be back :)
