There are several campsites as well as a cozy bed in a cabin that you can stay in. The property used to be an orchard, until most was sold and converted to housing developments. My one acre and a few old cherry trees remains. Both the camping areas and the cabin are in sight of my house. But, there are plenty of areas to choose from. I can supply a fire ring and logs to burn if you are interested. Dogs allowed, as long as they get along with and don’t chase other animals. You must be animal friendly! I have a dog, two indoor/outdoor cats, and chickens.Rare flat grassy areas within suburbia. Used to be an orchard until most was sold and converted to housing. One acre with level grassy areas remains. In sight of my house. Plenty of areas to choose from. Could supply a fire ring and logs to burn if interested. Dogs allowed, as long as they get along with and don’t chase other animals (I have a dog and an indoor/outdoor cat).

Good night’s rest!
Easy to find, host communication was fast. Janet offered the bed in the old farmhouse which was very generous at the same price as a tent site. I welcomed the offer to not have to set up my tent. The barn bed is very comfortable, I slept really well. Great stay.

A great and unique urban escape!
An awesome little getaway. We were able to have a fantastic night outside that we needed right in Fairport. This spot is nestled not too far from the mall but as soon as you get here it really takes you away from all of it. When we arrived her friendly orange cat greeted us warmly with many meows. Janet is incredibly welcoming and kind. Her house is set back from the road with the barn and tent spots up a short steep incline set back in their own little flat area. The barn area is tucked back enough for pricacy from the road. You can easily access water and a bathroom if needed. Janet was very responsive before and during our stay if we needed anything. There are lots of fun day activities in the immediate vicinity, the site is adorable and fun to spend time at. We loved waking up with the rooster calling in the morning, and he really doesn't start making much noise until later in the AM. We set up our tent on one flat spot beside the barn and set up our cooking area on the othrr side which has the fire pit. We used the barn store some extra gear in an accessible spot and when the weather took a turn for a moment we were glad the barn was there. This place is a really special and unique spot where you'd never expect. We will definitely be coming back to stay again sometime!

Mansion for camping
Felt like a mansion for the price! You have the option to tent camp, or stay in the barn with lights, power, tables, and chairs. Janet is wonderful and very kind, warm, and welcoming... even with visiting beautiful waterfalls as passing through... I still found myself not ready to vacate her beautiful property. Highly recommend for a good mix of safe rustic camping with home style living 👌 she let's you use the restroom if needed and they are building a composting outhouse too to add along with it. All in all areas peaceful stay and a friendly human that comes along with it.

Suburban old orchard
We loved camping at Janet's Hipcamp! She met and welcomed us to her property, took time to show us around and had even made up the bed in the barn with fresh sheets! My kids were so intrigued by her interesting property - barn, garden, slopes, and berries that she generously told them they could pick & eat. Very memorable and good experience for us. Thank you, Janet!

Great stay
Janet was wonderful and has some very sweet animals at her home. We normally camp in our van but had to change plans last minute to take a car so we stayed in the barn. The bed was way comfier than expected and it was nice to have a place to stand up and walk around lol. There's a table outside you can put your camp stove on and a good size area for tents. Unfortunately for us it rained all weekend so we didn't get to take advantage of the fire pit. This is a 'walk in' camp site so you have to park and walk up a small but steep hill. We will definitely stay again if we're in the area!
