Fire-pits, comfortable outdoor furniture, and plenty of room to roam will make this unique stay memorable, relaxing, with absolute privacy with stunning views. The bespoke wooden Tower boasts 360 degree views of the surroundings. It is built on piers and has windows on the perimeter. A large table, outdoor chairs on the 2nd Level platform is an ideal space for gathering or picnicking. The 3rd enclosed level is furnished with a built in brand new queen bed and long custom built-in couch with a bar table and 4 chairs. Small fridge and Fan are available. Slateville Retreat ~ Tower & Cabin
This was the best curated, best stocked, and most private place I have ever stayed in the share-economy. My family wanted an end-of-summer relaxation getaway in a remote setting, and Heather's retreat couldn't have been better. We stayed for 4 days and 3 nights, and were only moved to leave the property once during our stay. Heather is highly responsive to any questions, and has clearly thought through the experience deeply. Our children (ages 11 and 14) stayed in the top of the fire tower by themselves and had the time of their lives. They loved that there were next to no mosquitos, and quickly adapted to the bees that live nearby. The very well groomed carveout of the grounds would also accommodate much larger groups in tents, I imagine. On our final night, we were magically greeted by a family of deer eating from the apple tree in soft rain. For what we were looking for, I doubt we could find a better place. Highest recommendation.

Slateville Retreat ~ Tower & Cabin
Heather's retreat is so much more beautiful in person than the pictures can even show. The cabin is very cute and well-stocked and the tower views really have to be seen. Heather provided ample instructions so we could find the driveway successfully, even though we did arrive well after dark, and clear instructions for the cabin were inside. There were only 2 of us for this trip but the cabin and tower could easily accommodate more. We are strongly considering a second trip with friends and I've already recommended this spot to others, it really is a special place! Thanks to Heather for her help and the clear thoughtfulness that went in to everything available at the cabin and tower.

Room with a 360 view!
What a place! If you're looking for a unique stay, you've found it. Sleeping in a fire tower is a truly special experience like no other. We loved waking up to sunrise through the 360 degree windows, and looking out over the fall palette with all its oranges and reds. The bed itself is super comfy and warm, despite it being pretty cold weather on our trip. The cabin has everything you need for a great luxurious stay, including a nice hot shower and full kitchen. We cooked over the outdoor grill, and then snuggled up inside to play board games. Breakfast on the porch in the morning was also a win. Would love to visit this place with a larger group in summertime and play some Kuub! Highly recommend Heather's place - they've gone above and beyond to make this place something special.

Absolutely Blissful!
The Slateville Retreat was amazing and absolutely spectacular. This camp has everything you need and more. Our stay was peaceful, relaxing, and filled with serenity. The best part about this camp was the host. Heather went out of her way to make her home as open and welcoming as possible. Thank you for everything Heather ❤️ Set on top of a mountain, this camp has the most amazing scenery and privacy you ever wanted at camp. We could tell how much this camp is loved, because it felt like home to us. Way to go Heather, everything was more than perfect, it was exceptional. Lot's of love, George and Tara Turner

New York Safari
An amazing, unique, peaceful, and beautiful experience. Waking up in the tower made us feel like we were on Safari!! Pretty magical! Cabin is adorable and has all you need to cook a nice meal. Front porch, back porch, tower porch… so many lovely outdoor seating options. Didn’t make it to the farm for a swim, but we intend to do so next time. Highly recommend!! Thanks Heather!!
