This secluded campsite on an agroforestry farm, where we grow chestnuts, along with 15 types of fruit and a handful of annual vegetables. The biodiversity is vibrant, and the birding is very good.
12 minute drive from Ithaca, 8 minutes to the center of Trumansburg, 7 minute drive from Grassroots, + supermarket, pharmacy etc, 6 minutes to the lower entrance of Taughannock Falls State Park
Fire pit, grate, and firewood provided.
No shower available, but the creek is deep enough to dunk in.
No RV hookup available.
Composting toilet nearby. No buckets needed.
Campsite is about 400 yards from the road; car access to within 150 feet.
The bugs aren't bad at all, because there's no standing water around, but bring bug spray if they like you.
If you're looking for a place for excessive or underage drug/alcohol consumption, we're not here to narc you, but please find a different campsite.
Our friend Meg lives in a camper about 200 yards away, and has a friendly dog named Chaga. "We're dog friendly if your dog is friendly."

The forest campsite is down a short path, from the field, into the woods. There is a 10x12ft tent platform, with a roof.
There is near-zero poison ivy. I can't stand that plant and actively try to delete it.
