Dog Friendly and Fully Fenced!! This rustic 600 square-foot cabin with a semi-private bedroom and a fold-out couch can comfortably sleep up to 4 adults. The bathroom and kitchen both have modern amenities. There's a wood stove but also electric heat and AC and hot water. Huge sliding glass doors open up to a wrap-around porch. No TV, but Wifi. There is an electric coffee pot, a French Press and a Nespresso. It sits on 5 wooded acres and nearly a full acre of cleared land is fenced, making it safe for dogs to run off leash. The house sits within the fenced in acre so you can conveniently open the doors and let your dogs run free. There is one visible house across the street from the front of the cabin but it feels very private in the back of the house. There is a firepit. There are two outbuildings onsite that are not available for rent at this time. The cabin is 20 mins from Minnewaska State Park and Mohonk Mountain House, and 35 mins from Kingston, New Paltz, Gardiner, Phonecia and Woodstock. Local restaurants of note include Mill and Main, Roughcut Brewing, Westwind Orchard, Arrowood Farms, and Harana. We live in the chalet next door where we offer small group fitness classes most days of the week. Ask us for more info if you're interested. This cabin has been a labor of love for us for more than a decade. We bought it when we (and our dogs) NEEDED space away from NYC. Putting up the fence for our pups to run free while we renovated the house weekend by weekend was our first project. It's still very much a work in progress and we've since moved upstate full-time to the house next door - and had a (human) baby. Things have changed a lot but we're thrilled to now be able to provide a little getaway for people AND their dogs. We know hard it is to find dog friendly (and more importantly, dog safe) rentals out there.

This campsite offers a cozy and dog-friendly experience, making it a favorite for return visitors. The cabin's modern amenities, cleanliness, and thoughtful touches, like a well-equipped kitchen and wood stove, create a relaxing atmosphere. Guests appreciate the fenced area for pets, allowing dogs to roam freely and safely. Despite a minor complaint about the lack of shades and an uncomfortable bed, the overall sentiment remains highly positive, with many guests planning to return.

PERFECT cabin
We are totally obsessed with this cabin! Really beautiful, totally toasty, and super comfy! The mattress is very nice, the shower heats up quickly and has great water pressure. It’s really cool that you can have your dog gated in on the porch, as well as so much area for our sweet Beatrice to run and smell all the things in the woods! We came here for our 5th anniversary and it did not disappoint! We can’t wait to come again! Next time we will bring nespresso pods because there is even a Nespresso machine already there! The perfect mix of luxury and nature. The whole street lost power overnight on our second night and we still are elated with our entire stay— that’s how good of a cabin it is!!

Do not hesitate—book now!
We always book different places every time we go on a trip but this is an exception, we will definitely be returning! The location is private, the cabin is beautiful and clean, and it is incredibly dog-friendly! The bed is very comfortable and the fireplace made it cozy!

Dog friendly & human approved
Wow, what a treasure this cabin is! We booked this trip to escape to the woods and unwind, and it was the perfect setting! If you have a dog, this is the BEST place to bring them! The entire lot is fenced in once you close the entrance gate, and we were at ease knowing our dog could roam freely. I can’t tell you who enjoyed our stay at the cabin more, us or our dog! The kitchen is modern and well stocked with essentials for cooking. We ended up making all our meals at the cabin because we didn’t want to leave. The bed & couch were cozy & comfy. It snowed our first night, which was magical with the fireplace going while we watched the snowfall. And there’s plenty of firewood, which is such a nice touch so we didn’t have to worry about bringing or buying any. There was a shovel and broom as well as pet friendly salt for those icy/snowy mornings which came in handy. And there were dog bowls, dog beds and plenty of blankets to keep our pup warm after romping around in the snow. I can see why this Hipcamp books up so quickly! The price is great and we felt it was worth every penny. I could rave about the Queen’s cabin forever, but for now I’ll just say: BOOK IT!
