Nestled in the foothills of the New York Catskills 150 miles Northwest of New York City is a place called Paradise Falls. It was named many years ago and as soon as you arrive you will see why the name was chosen. It has been in our family for almost 100 years. You can still see remnants of the gristmill that use to operate there. Many great memories have been made at the Falls and we now want to share our slice of paradise with you. The rolling creek, a feeder searching for it's mama - the Delaware River - runs down the mountainside and over the rocks to give power and life to the falls. The steady flow makes you think you are far from civilization. But not really - only a short hike and you travel from the falls to a dirt road to a paved highway in a matter of a few minutes. Over thousands of years and a few hundred year floods nature has made this wonderful cave-like formation under and behind the waterfall. The flat rock is a great place to picnic and enjoy the tranquility of the water. The trees surrounding the area make a fitting canopy for this unique campsite. The mountain behind is great for climbing and a short walk down the creek will get you to the base of Jensons Ledges. The ledges are a steep hike up a mountain to a spectacular vista. Definitely worth the time and effort it takes to get there. Come visit our slice of paradise - you will be glad you did.Enjoy off-the-grid tranquility along side a peaceful waterfall. Site includes canvas tent, queen size bed, picnic table, camp pantry and fire pit. There is an on-site hot water shower and at-home privacy with our Loo Room so you don't miss any conveniences. There are great adventures waiting nearby including an 18 hole golf course, kayaking, hiking and fly fishing on the historic Delaware River. This site truly gives you off-the-grid privacy a short, two mile drive off the main highway. For your convenience we have a second six-person tent for additional guests.

Paradise Falls - Beautiful Stay!
With pets
I want to thank Terry and Randall for a great weekend! They were very personable and accomodating for our anniversary getaway. This is our first time with HipCamp, and we are very happy to have selected this camp. Paradise Falls is a beautiful campground with all of the indemnities for a peaceful off-grid location with plenty of space to stretch out to relax to get in touch with nature. The stream and waterfall provides a very nice touch, and having the fireplace and a well stocked wood pile made our stay warm and cozy.. The site is not too far from town, but we were able to have a great time even with the rains early in the morning. Definitely a 10 out of 10 and highly recommended! We will be coming back to enjoy this site next season!

Absolute paradise!
Randy was an amazing host and made sure our stay was comfortable and that we had everything we needed. The location was perfect, peaceful and relaxing! We loved the fact that there wasn’t internet and only surrounded by the sounds of nature. The location, privacy, waterfalls and campsite were wonderful for our 3 night/4 day stay. It was very convenient that we could drive and park right next to our site so our food was safe in our car but also accessible. The “loo” was a bonus and gave you a warm shower and privacy when needed. We are definitely planning another trip back and cannot wait to enjoy everything about this paradise again!! Thanks again Randy for being so hospitable!! 😊

Amazing secluded site near waterfal
Paradise Falls is an amazing site, with a stone patio, picnic table & canopy, elevated platform permanent framed tent, propane grill, and fire pit with adjustable gate, not to mention the outhouse with camp toilet and attached hot water shower. There is a beautiful stream and waterfall nearby, with a separate set of furniture and a fire pit there. Randall and his brother are super nice and helpful. The entire experience was amazing as always - we'll surely be back again.

Absolutely stunning pictures don’t do it justice, it’s exactly what you would hope for for camping in the wilderness. Truly beautiful and we will be back.

Thrilled!
Randy and Terry were two of the most wholesome gentlemen. You are nestled deeply and privately in the woods in the most quaint and serene campsite just steps away from the rushing waters on their privately owned (over) 100 acres. From the creative outhouse, secure tent, 2 campfires, outdoor kitchen set up with a grill, to offering us an extra day due to bad weather. Leaving was tough but I do hope to be back. As Randy quoted to me how a friend of his basically had said it’s practically an obligation to share his beautiful camp site, I can understand that 100%! I admire that they turned down the millions of dollars to the gas company to preserve this beautiful piece of land. Here’s a tip I feel may help others when arriving at Randall’s campsite: when you see the dead end sign, CONTINUE, it’s just up the bend on your left, stay straight. Follow their directions directly as written and you will not have an issue. I could go on and on about the hospitality the Hancock community had when we went into town for groceries and a few drinks at the bar. I know why Hancock was rated the best small town in NY this past August. I could almost feel the laughter and memories that were made and I am so glad to have made our own. Thank you for letting us stay on your land!
