Site 1 - Catskills tiny house cabin
A Lovely Weekend Getaway
My partner and I stayed at Martin’s tiny house for her birthday and for some stargazing.
The grounds were very private, but not in the middle of nowhere. The view off the porch and from inside the house of the surrounding area was great. We stayed just as the trees were starting to turn, so we woke up to beautiful autumnal views raked with golden light from the rising sun.
The kitchen and other amenities made it an excellent glamping experience. The wood stove kept us very toasty, with more than enough wood to keep it running for our stay.
Martin was an amazing host. Both accommodating and super friendly. The nearby town of Livingston Manor has some great little shops and cafes.
We definitely recommend a stay here, and plan on coming back in the future!

Martin was a solid dude, easy going. The near by towns were cute and there’s some easy but rewarding hikes close by. It was secluded but still easy to get to. We will probably go back in the winter:)

Marty was a very hospitable host. The tiny cabin was awesome (and inspiring). A perfect spot for a winter stay. Will definitely be considering taking a tiny house workshop from him in the future. We were pleasantly surprised and impressed with everything that was available. From the shower, the kitchen, to the wood stove, and the very generous supply of firewood. It was the perfect girls' weekend getaway. Marty was very communicative, willing to offer a helping hand if needed, but also very respectful of our privacy (which was appreciated). Would definitely book again!

Beware
My girlfriend and I wanted to be off the grid with our fur babies but, realized the door to the cabin did not lock. The host arrived more than once during our stay which made us feel very uncomfortable. He requested “booze” more than once on our first night. The following day he opened the door while we were inside and my dog quickly got up but, it just wasn’t something we signed up for. We decided to pack and leave. I’m just writing this to alert others (especially women) if traveling alone.
I must mention the views from the cabin were beautiful even with all the snow. Cabin was small but big at the same time and remained warm. The walk from the car was doable.

Site 2 - Catskills YURT
Martin was an excellent and accomodating host. Throughout the entire process he was communicative and eager to ensure we had an excellent stay on his property from telling us about the ideosyncrasies on how his custom made yurt operated to bringing desserts and teas. I would recommend his place to anyone and would love to return one day.
